Hairy Buffalo. lol. One part hawiian punch, one part vodka, one part grain alcohol, lots of citrus cut into pieces. Mix, cover tightly, and let it sit for 2 or 3 days. It tastes like non-alcoholic punch but a glass of it should come with bail money. A college favorite.

You said "punch" not "cocktail"? Right? LOL!
My favorite "fruit-ey" drink if Southern comfort and cranberry juice with lime. You can make it more like a cocktail or more like a punch by varying the ration of Southern Comfort to juice....If I am making a punch bowl of thes tuff for a woman's group I use 5 to one ratio...5 oz cranberry juice to 1 oz Southern comfort....and I add the juice of a lime to every Qt or so of cranberry juice and float some lime slices in the bowl....If I remember fountains, there is a pool that would look pretty with lime slices floating....and because they are floating they don't go into the pump.
You can make up a punch with things like bottled Kiwi juice and frozen lemonade ( put through a strainer to remove any pulp and the booze of your choice...vodka or rum.
Or a wine punch....I bottle of Reisling to 2 qts of strawberry Kiwi juice....or white grape if you really want it sweet....and float sliced strawberries in it.

Well, I did have a party once and we made a punchbowl full of these. They are a lovely blue color, which is obvious when people start getting sick on the lawn in December and you spend weeks avoiding the blue snow. Yeah.....

Blue Motorcycles

Mix equal parts of vodka, tequila, rum, gin, blue Caracao and sour mix. Serve cold.

Here's a basic rum punch from Food & Wine:

PLANTERS PUNCH

1 part rum
1 part orange juice
1 part pineapple juice
1/4 c. fresh lime juice
1/4 c. grenadine

Mix all ingredients together. Serve over ice with pineapple wedge, orange twist and cherry on a toothpick.

I am thinking that Hairy Buffalo that bigaugbiker posted would look real pretty in the snow next to the Blue Motorcycle! Gosh I haven't seen Hawaiian Punch in the stores for years....do they still make it?

I talked to Vicki and she is not insisting on the fountain. So I can use it or not. I do like the idea of floating fruit in the bowl part of the fountain, tho. Great idea, Linda!

... Great ideas, here! I've really got nothing (no recipes) to add... unless you want to do a fountain batch of Cosmo's or some-such Foo-foo martini-like thing...

...and yes, they do still make Hawaiian Punch! I remember those... Hawaiian Punch with Everclear.

DH used to drink garbage can punch in college... Fruit juices, Everclear, mixed fruit. he went to a party once before an impt Golf Tournament so was not drinking. He was however eating the fruit out of the punch... And he was pretty surprised when he realized he was drunk on fruit!

Bizzo, Foo-Foo would be fine for this group. See, we have a fountain! LOL

Oh and I remember "garbage can punch" parties, too! LOL. When I was 18 a friend and I drove to Boulder Colorado. Pitched our tent in a KOA campground, met a whole bunch of the other campers and got invited to a party at one of the campsites. Whatever you brought to drink got tossed in the can and man...it was potent! Nasty, too, but when you're 18 you'll drink just about anything! LOL Gawd that was a fun vacation!

Back to the subject at hand....I thought about some sort of martini for the fountain. May have to revisit that train of thought.

Then there's the punch that "esterizes"....don't remember what all was in it but you mixed up a week ahead and it becomes more and more alcoholic as thew eek goes on....college chem kids used to make that.
Then there was that tea punch and milk punch and purple Jesus'.

I remember killer koolaid, well, I kind of remember..LOL! Long Island Tea might work too have the coke splash available by the punch bowl/fountain. NO fizz to worry about. I'm sure y'all will have fun...is there a hot tub too? : )

Here is the punch I am thinking about making. It is crystal clear and the strawberry & star fruit garnish is really pretty. Seems summery to me.

Lorelei Punch

4 c chilled Rhine wine
1/3 c peach schnapps
2 T orange liqueur
4 tsp sugar

Combine wine, schnapps, orange liqueur and sugar in a pitcher or bowl. Stir to dissolve sugar. Serve over ice, garnish with sliced strawberries ans sliced star fruit.

Linda, that apple sangria you made for the Michigan Run was really good, so that couldl be a "fall back" if you don't make the one you posted.

I think the one you posted sounded good, but not as pretty as Blue Motorcycles, tee hee.....

Didn't someone post a recipe for chocolate martinis here once?
