What beautiful Father's day stories you have given us, Boxofrox... I would have loved to have seen your bouquets before you had sent them off... I loved the bouquet you gave your wife and can imagine how pretty the memoriam flowers were. You and JeffAurora's roses I have become a permanent, relentless STALKER of... LOL! Each time I visit the gallery I will be stalking for the latest and greatest! Yeah, we need to call you as IrisGal says L-AIA (Landscape-Architect-International Accolades) hee-hee! My Dad too is a retired Biochemist, but did I ever set out and do any research on roses at all???? had I ever planted a thing in my life? no...., did I ever visit a garden? uh, once every 3 years... duh, does that count? shame on me! I started out with a tree-rose without knowing a thing about what to do with it and! nearly killed it in the process...Well, it just goes to show what a dedicated love and appreciation of gardens you started with, and now we can all sit back and enjoy and marvel at the masterpiece you created.

I will agree with you it's Erigeron/Conyza and not Solidago.The leaves seem a bit wider than the Solidago leaves I've been seeing. What is more confusing to me is trying to I.d. the many different Erigeron species.You seem to have more of a problem with E. canadensis in your area,while in my area according to the extention service,E. annuas seems to be the culprit.And besides these 2 species,there are several others floating around doing who knows what!
