Coffee gift certificate

As some of you may know, I have been searching for a gift to give my friends who just got married. They are both around 60 and have a full house and have been living together for a couple of years in a small cabin so they don't want any more "stuff." But today, while doodling around on the computer for something else, I realized that they both LOVE coffee, and maybe I could either get them one of those one cup coffee brewers (not sure maybe they have one and that's a "stuff" thing although makes good coffee, I dunno). OR I could get them a gift certificate to buy coffee from some good company online, and I know a lot of you do that. OR maybe something like "coffee of the month" club subscription if there is such a thing.

Anyway, ideas and opinions in this realm would be appreciated.

I vote for the gift certificate. They are used to making coffee the way they are comfortable, and another gadget won't fit their life-style.

I recommend Peet's coffee. It the best!

I agree with sushipup, I vote for the gift certificate. Not knowing their coffee making habits or what devices they already have, a consumable item like coffee would always be used.

I like Paramount from Lansing, but then you knew that, LOL. Ashley likes Costa Rican Cafe Britt, but I don't know which companies (other than Charbucks ...um....
Starbucks) have gift cards, what's available in their area and what you could get by mail.

I think they will just post it right there, where it states that they will update it there (between 5 & 6). I don't think that they will update until they hit 45. (They were a long way from 45 when I asked.) Never know, they might "tweet" it.. when they hit it.

I have PAoK ( new this year, blooms are lovely), and Carding Mill. C.M.'s blooms can be so pretty, fading to a pretty pastel ( see April 1st blooms in rose gallery). Tranquillity is one that looks gorgeous too. If I needed a white rose, it would definitely be a contender.

Patty or anyone else. Do you happen to know when they will be back from vacation? I got a gift certificate, but had trouble using it, so he's going to put my order in for me. I asked him to write me a email to let me know when he got it done, mostly so my mind would be eased and I would know that I got my roses. This was around Dec. 27th or so. I have tried calling the last couple of days with no luck, so I figure they haven't made it back yet. I was wanting to add one if it was going to be one they put back in stock and ask a question. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew when they were planning on coming back from vacation. I wish I could afford one as long, lol

The coffee gift certificate is a great idea. Being full addicted to coffee myself I would love a present like that. Peets is good as is Seattle's Best Coffee. I'm sure you can get a gift certificate or card from either company. They will love you for it.

One of my volunteers just gifted us with Major Dickenson's Blend from Peet's. She had it ground for our french press and I thought it was excellent! Great idea to give a gift certificate!

I think a coffee gift card is a great idea, but I might go a little more specialty / boutique than Peets. Here's a link to an article about high-end boutique coffee roasters... Here's a link to an article in Food and Wine about some that they recommend...
