I've never, ever tried one, and I never will.

The biggest negative for me is BBQ sauce, which I do not like. But that whole "mystery meat" just makes me want to gag.

McD's barbecue sauce is like sweet spicy ketchup- seems to me the main ingredients are ketchup and sugar!

I really like the McRib. Look forward to it each year. I had mine a few weeks back.

I like them on occasion, I had seen them listed on the McDonalds sign, they seem to be here in this area quite a lot. My problem with them is they are messy to eat I always end up wearing part of it.

Hungry Man dinners makes a meal with the same patties that are in the McRib with a bbq sauce which is really better than the one on McRib.

The pictures on TV make me want to gag. Never had one.

The whole thing with the McRib is it's another play on the "parts is parts" process, ala McNugget. I think I've had one in my life. It was hard to fork out over $3 for the tidbit and I was totally unimpressed, especially for the money. In fairness, it was not the match of "5 Disappointments" level and it satisfied a decades-long curiosity.

I like sausage sandwiches and make them often. I even like the Sausage McMuffins, especially sans the plastic "cheese". Compared to usual McFare I guess I understand why some people would look forward to it. It's certainly different so in that respect it's good. I'd look forward to the return of other things though. Bring back the original apple pies and I'd stop in there occasionally!

It's curious how the "pink slime" fanatics aren't all up in arms over Mcrestructured Mcmeat Mcproducts. We all know better than to ask what's in the sausage we eat. Heart, tripe and stomach, just like mother used to make are only some of the 70 or so ingredients it takes to Mcmake one.

There's a lot of reasons why it's not a regular menu item. Primarily, it's an expensive product to make so they use it as a promo item. If they went all out on it, there'd be a shortage of waste products which would further compound the already high cost.

I saw it was at various places around here during the holidays. Some had a buy a Big Mac, get a McRib for $1. Any of the stores that want to spend the money can get it year round.

They'll be around. Enjoy them when they are if you like them, or avoid them if you don't.

I ate them ages ago, but not for years now. My DD#1 can not wait for them to come out she says it is in early December~~~I think she eats one a day for a week straight, then maybe down to 1 once a week BLAH~~~she is the only person I know that goes crazy for them. She is a junk food junkie that has to eat it on the sly her DH is a freak about junk food~sugar or even eating to much.

The only thing I order from mc is a small regular burger and small fries. It satsfies my fast food cravings for about three months.

Never had one. I don't like ribs, so it's not a temptation. I've been trying not to eat fast food at all, but once in a while it tastes so good!

Just a reminder, but our ancestors ate some pretty gross stuff. My Grandma was fond of pickled pigs knuckles and feet, my father in law ate "head cheese" (not cheese but made from various meat parts pressed together, loaded with fat). I've been to Mario Batali's restaurant and ate ravioli stuffed with beef cheeks.
