Thursday is always Greek baked snapper, delicious and a serving of their squash casserole. Can't figure out the herb that they put in it, but dang tasty!

Sue, your fried pork loin reminded me of how much I miss breaded tenderloins in IN. I have to make them at home now, butI sure miss having them at Miller's Drive-In in R-ville :-(

Glenda, did you have a nice peaceful lunch after yesterday? What always amazes me about kids is how much they talk. Not saying that's bad, just sayin'. Do you think they'd tell you the spice in the squash? Can't hurt to ask.

Cheryl, I haven't had any Brussels sprouts yet this year. Harry told me one day he wasn't crazy about them. That was a surprise because a few years back we ate tons of them. Love stuffed peppers, too.

Lauren is sick so she's having some kind of soup. We just spent nearly $80 at Wal-Mart for a variety of soup (lol-jk...but that's what we went for). She's been vomiting all week and so got her some soup and something to drink for the next couple of days. Picked up a few other things, like milk and a new insulated coffee cup for me to take to work.

The rest of us are having leftover pork roast that I added some bbq sauce to, whole pea pods and stuffing. I also bought a apple pecan chicken salad from Wendy's and am eating a little of it with my dinner.

Left over pork roast for me too and anything left over after today is going in the garbage. Enough already.

Amen, Georgysmom. I just cleaned out the frig and somehow it's all full again. WTH? I haven't even been cooking that much. It must be those kitchen gnomes :-)

Kath, I hope Lauren feels better soon. She sounds miserable, poor kid. I know what you mean about that expensive soup. Happens every time we go to the grocery. I'd be happy with the chicken salad with apples and pecans. That sounds really good.

Patti, I love those salads, they're so good. Lynn, you're right the soup was extremely expensive. Used to be cheap and used to buy it all the time when I was younger and didn't make much money. I stocked up for me and Sola too. Me for work and Sola because she's got a sore throat and headache. I hope she doesn't have Mono because Lauren was recently diagnosed with it. She didn't want to go to the doctor, had to take Lauren because she is all out of parent notes for school.

Since it is just Syd and I tonight we made Taco Salads we were starving when we went to the grocery and bought tons but made that and it was yummy!

Corned beef hash with an egg fried with it. That's the bad thing about cooking for one....or the good thing, whichever you prefer. Odd things for meals. I munched this afternoon on crackers and a wonderful cheese spread that DS and DDIL brought me.

We bought a whole boneless New York Strip at the grocery store today, half price $4.97 a pound. They cut it into steaks for us got 20 1" steaks for $74. So steak was on the menu along with mashed potatoes and butternut squash.

Lynn_d, I just sliced off a few slices of the pork to fry and the rest went into the crockpot on low overnight. I will shred it and freeze it for pork barbecue sandwiches later on. Boneless pork loin was $1.89 per pound this week.

Sue, our boneless pork loin is on fairly often for $1.88 lb as well! A whole loin in a large heavy plastic bag, right?

I often slice it into pork chops, then a roast or two. I make my slow-cooked sesame pork roast (that SuzieQ loves!) out of it.
