Place was packed 3 of the 5 turn isles were full, but the cafeteria men keep everyone moving. You better know what you what when you get to the meat person, cause he ain't waiting until he says "next"

Nice, sunny, cold day here. I took some hamburger out to
make taco salads. I have some romaine hearts and salsa
that need to be used up, so it fits the bill perfectly.

Cold, cold, cold here......., but going up to the sixties next week. Will be glad to see the snow melt. I don't get cravings very often but I was just thinking about stuffed shells last night. I haven't made them in years. That is what we're having for dinner tonight. Glad you asked, I best get them in the oven. YUM.

dh primed the ba rm ceiling so opted for frozen lasgna...in fact we're already upstairs, looking for a movie to watch...early night for ma and pa, lol....

beautiful day here nice and sunny and temps 76 just about perfect have all the doors open.

Tonight for me it will be stuffed bell peppers.

Rice a Roni (Spanish rice, uses can of diced tomatoes)
Add hamburger, shredded cheese on top,.. fast casserole.

Cheryl and I have been helping out at Amber's the past couple of days, Alyssa has a cold and very fussy, so by the time I got home, I just ate some corn flakes. I don't think I want any supper. Who knows I may be gone again tomorrow. It did warm up some today, but going back down again tonight. Tomorrow evening looking for ice to move in.

We had a little rain here today but the sun is shining now. The temp was in the low 60's so not all that bad.

Tonight we are having chicken enchiladas and they smell so good.

Chicken something. Noodles, rice or dumplings. Chicken is cooking now....it will probably be dumplings. I am almost embarrassed to say that because so many times when you ask what's for dinner...I say chicken and dumplings...but it is my favorite comfort food. And I need comforting, I guess. :))

Out to dinner for barbeque/smoke. I had smoked chicken and brisket, garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Tom had the catfish and baby back ribs, fries and salad.

It is our 39th wedding anniversary so we went to our little cafe here in our little town. I had 2 enchiladas and a salad and DH had stead and a baked potato. It got up to 17 here today.

It's nice and warm but rainy here in Az. We aren't complaining since that rain is badly needed! I think I ache in every joint in my body except my nose! I don't feel like cooking or eating or being nice to anyone! LOL We're having salmon patties, steamed spinach and kale, mashed potatoes and fruit salad.

I had the last of my concoction of chicken, veggies and gravy and put it over mashed potatoes. It was good but glad it is all gone now. I decided not to eat out this past week (did meet friends for dessert one night) because I eat out way way too often. I've been good for a week so I plan on eating out tomorrow. Satine

Glenda, that made me laugh--thinking about the soup man in Seinfield--no soup for you--if you didn't know what you wanted right away! I tell you, spring will be here soon!Love when those little sprouts start popping through.

Georgysmom, I get "inspired" with food sometimes. Usually when I first wake up, something will sound really good in my little brain.

Susan, you have my sympathy! Remodeling/decorating takes a toll. Enjoy your lasagne (I love Stouffer's!)

Raven, the weather is beautiful isn't it? I just love having the house open. Your stuffed peppers sound good to me.

Pekemom, is the Rice-A-Roni the box kind? I really like the chicken but we can't have it very often. Never had the Spanish rice one, but I bet it's good, too. Did you make that recipe up yourself?

Sue, I think you will be warming up in a few days. Is Amber still having knee problems? Just wondering what you do to help out all day. You'll probably sleep really well tonight, though! LOL!!

Marilyn, hey--I'd eat chicken and dumplings every night during winter if it was up to me. It's so good, but I don't think it's the easiest meal in the world to make. And I could use a little comforting myself about now.

Chicken and dumplings are easy and fast the way I make them. I poach the chicken...remove it from the bones and make dumplings like I would make home made biscuits. And drop them on the chicken in the broth. Cover them...that's it. I did add a little fresh parsley...because I had it on hand. I think it makes them pretty...doesn't add much to the flavor.
