Well, it sounds like you had as frustrating a day yesterday as I have had today. I spent 3 hours on the phone with India trying to get my new printer and computer in sync. It's all working now but what a waste of time. While on hold, I removed a container of rouladen from the freezer and defrosted it. I'm going to make some spaetzle and that will be our dinner tonight.

It was another fun filled day today. Went to the neighbor lady's beauty shop and got my perm. Two hours later Amber, Alyssa and I headed south to get our weekly groceries. We stopped first at Logan's steak house and it was really good. I had the southwestern barbecued chicken, a big salad, and onion petals, yeast rolls, iced tea and it comes with coleslaw. I asked for a big to go box and brought most of the food home except for the salad that I ate. She even brought me a nice to go glass of iced tea. So the rest of the meal is what I had for supper. Will be on the go again tomorrow!

Welcome back home, Patti. I hope Harry's app't went well.

We just finished some Pasta Puttanesca. It probably sounds like we eat it a lot, we likely do, but it's our favourite pasta and so easy to make.

I won't be eating much... had a HUGE lunch. Mel called. Had car trouble in Moore. I drove over with my girl toys, ah, tools, and two gallons of water.. as his water hose had come disconnected.

He took me to lunch, after we got his car going again. A Mexican Restaurant across the interstate from where he was broke down.

It was a first in a LONG time.. that I didn't finish my lunch. It will work great, for a lunch when I go back to work on Thursday. :)

I'll prolly have a cheese sandwich for dinner.

Although I don't know you I thought about you all driving to Gainesville after the terrible crash and wondering if you were delayed much. You were wise to spend the night there.

We had Hardee's hamburger and onion rings. Was okay.

Well, me and the girls along with one of Lauren's friends went to see a movie right after school. Lauren and her friend saw "Underworld", which started a half hour after our's so they went to Qdoba and had burritos. They were going to go get an ice cream at Baskin Robbins but changed their minds. Sola doesn't like scary movies so she went with me to see "The Decedants". After we got a scoop of Baskin Robbins and then I went through Taco Bell for Sola and my dinner. We had chicken soft tacos at home but ran out of salsa, so Sola got chicken soft tacos and I got a burrito. I had half of my burrito, that's all I can eat at one time. It was really good. Now having coffee.

Glenda, your pork chop sounds good--are you getting packed and ready for your cruise on Sunday? How many days this time?

Georgysmom, I love my freezer food. I've never made spaezle and have no idea what rouladen is but it sounds like beef something???? Please 'splain! Whatever it is, if you made it I know it has to be good.

Sue, how is that baby Alyssa? She'll soon be a year old already! I know you have such a good time with your kids and now that sweet grandbaby. I envy you having you kids so close. Keep on enjoying!

Moni, I'm glad you're feeling better. It was really good of you to help out a friend. Eating Mexican is like eating Chinese. They give you so much food you can eat several days. Enjoy!

Sunshines, that's so sweet of you to think of us. I do the same thing with people here at the table. I love Hardee's sausage biscuits for breakfast, but haven't had one for a long, long time. No Hardee's close :-(

Kathleen, you are the best mom! How neat is it that you took your time off to do something for/with the kids. I just love that! And I know the kids do, too.

I'm crazy at my work, trying to train my assistant and keep up with my own work. Good Heaven. So I threw supper together and prayed, it worked out really well. I had chicken tenders so sliced them thinly, cooked it in butter, olive oil and garlic, added in a few gulf shrimp, fresh parsley and basil, garlic and some Tony's seasoning. At the last minute I added in some asparagus and squeezed a fresh lemon over it. Pretty good!

Whoa, Lynn. You'd better patent that recipe, it sounds so good. I, too, love the store at Cracker Barrel but we didn't have time to look today, darn it.

Yes, Patti. Rouladen is beef rolls. You can use round steak or sirloin, sliced and pounded thin, spread with mustard and sprinkled with S & P, dill pickle (I chop it some people put it in in strips), chopped onion and bacon cooked and crumbled. Roll up and secure with string, browned in the bacon fat and then braised an hour or more. Spaetzle is just flour, eggs, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and water mixed together and dropped in boiling water. It helps to have a spaetzle maker, I've tried the colander but don't think it works as well. A spaetzle maker is very inexpensive. It was very good.

georgysmom, I used to serve Spaetzle with a good pork/beef roast. yummmmm!
