I try to check where the stuff is made. India? Falls apart too fast and yes the colors do bleed/red/blue etc.

I have started putting the color catcher sheets in all my wash loads that have color. I am always surprised at how much color they catch.

I just did a load of new dish clothes and dish towels the other day - in with my regular clothes - yep, lint all over the clothes! What a mess!

I wouldn't call that dumb... I would call that an experience that turned PINK. LOL

Almost inevitable -- like the Kleenex I overlooked, until it was 'all over'. If these colors are going to 'run', they should go farther!

I seem to,wash a lot of money. Have done the pink thing, too. It's not dumb, just a lesson learned the hard way.

Lately I've bought several red items of clothing. I also bought a box of the color-catching sheets. They do work. When a red item is in need of a wash, I just put a sheet inside the item and just toss in with the the rest of the wash. The sheet comes out dark pink, so it did it's job.

Ahhh, pretty in pink! I like when I would wash money, finders keepers. Seldom happens though.

Silly Man. He absolutely refused to wear his "pink" t-shirts! Mind you, they were very pink...not just a tinge. LOL

I'm a little dubious about the dishcloths still. They still look vaguely pink. And 2 tea towels are red and white. I'm not sure how to wash them....but it won't be with whites again.

I did that just recently-washed my magenta chenille bathrobe in with a load of white towels. Towels are now pink. Well, some are pink with blue and green stripes-too much Color. I'll try those color catcher sheets in the future.

I would think that your whites can be soaked in a mild bleach solution for a day and they will get back to normal. I've had that happen before and bleach did the trick. As for the towels, just wash them seperately and not worry about them fading on themselves. Either that or take them back and get your money back...they really should not bleed on themselves like that!

I washed a new expensive light green towel with something red. The towel is now gray. A lot of my tea towels are pink from washing with others that had red. Oh well.

My son's baseball team had red and white uniforms. One woman washed it and the whole thing turned pink. I don't know why only that uniform turned pink and not all of them. The kid looked pretty funny on the field wearing pink.

I buy bar towels from wally world...the soaps nowdays do not get them clean...so every once in awhile I soak them in "Iron Out"...it gets them moderately clean...

bummer about the pink...we've all been there on that one I'm pretty sure...my latest fiasco was washing a box of gum...amazingly it came off the clothes pretty easy...getting it off the inside of my new dryer was a fiasco...

I was going to suggest Iron Out, too. It's made to take the "orange" out of clothing washed in water high in iron. Works wonders!
