really dumb question
Comments (1)3 pounds per 1,000 square feet per season generally means one pound per 1,000 in the spring and two apps of 1 pound each in the fall. I like the federal holidays and always suggest Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. That can be tempered by your distance from the equator but the holidays make a good reminder. Let's say your fertilizer is listed as 10-7-3. That means the fertilizer is 10% N by weight, 7% P, and 3% K. In order to get one pound of N, you'll need to apply 10 pounds of fertilizer (10% of X = 1 pound: Solve for X and you get 10 pounds). Your spreader setting can also be determined. Measure out 100 square feet of area (10 feet x 10 feet square). The amount of fertilizer to go on that area is 1 pound. Measure 1 pound and put it in the spreader. Open the spreader half way and operate it only over the 100 square feet. Make one pass and see how much you used or how much you have left. Adjust the spreader to correct for your initial error. Try it again. You should be pretty close with the second guess. Take note of your spreader setting. Write it on the bag or on your Google Calendar - somewhere where you will remember it. Chemical fertilizers must be watered in immediately before the next morning....See MoreReally dumb question...
Comments (10)oh good I am glad it was a simple fix and it was the F11 key. Hey it happened to me when I was first learning too and scared me not knowing what I had done, thankfully someone was around to help me too. That is how we learn and pass on the knowledge! One thing a lot of people do not know that is also helpful is using the Control Z combo, if you are typing or something and want to UNdo something you just did try hitting the Control Z and it will undo your last action, it keeps undoing as you keep hitting it. That has saved me a few times. I wish I had an Undo key for life sometimes LOL...See More(probably a really dumb) plumbing question
Comments (3)I think what hollysprings is saying is that since you're going to all of the time, trouble and expense of replacing the old tub and shower with a new shower, that trying to save money by reusing the existing valve (which is the "heart" of the system) might end up being a case of being penny-wise and pound-foolish. Better to replace the old valve (more likely to fail) with a new one (less likely to fail) since you have the wall open and easy access....See MoreOK, really really dumb question about tassel tie backs
Comments (2)I use a brass screw hook . I mounted it just outside the edge of the window frame (because there's wood behind that spot holding the window in, so it's not going into drywall). I pre-drilled a hole with a drill bit smaller than the screw diameter, then just gently twisted it in. It holds the tassel just fine (and mine are large)....See MoreUser
