The sweet best sweet potato I ever ever had. It was from Fresh Market and so good I did not need anything on it.

To go with it was Fresh Market's sweet Italian sausage link.

Sure enjoyed Glenda's homecooking, today :o)

Had pancakes and peameal bacon. Ever since I tried a recipe using sour cream, we just love homemade pancakes.

I used to buy the Krusteaz mix from Costco, but no more! We love these sour cream ones.

I had a bowl of fresh fruit salad. What is peameal bacon? I like Krusteaz pancakes the best :)

I'm sure you wouldn't care for our pancakes, we use cream cheese in ours, it's a low carbohydrate version.

Made a rotisserie chicken, mashed 'taters' (cauliflower), gravy and I relented....corn.

DH loves onion soup, Patti. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours to get that deep caramelization but that's what makes it taste so good. Since we're both watching the Steelers, I'm just defrosting some chicken chili.

Glenda, I sure miss having a Fresh Market here. Don't they have the most amazing groceries? I just like to go and browse. They're baked goodies are always so tempting, but not as good as the looked, as we found out. Bread is good, though!

We like Krusteaz too, Sue. But if Jas says they're better with sour cream, I'm betting they are.

Lynn, Harry (therefore I) was on Atkins for quite a while. I've done those cauliflower "potatoes" what seems like a zillion times, but they still taste like cauliflower to me--which is fine, since I love it. I learned a lot, like how to "bread" meat with crushed pork rinds for a crunch. Pork rinds are low carb dieter's best friend it seems. Have you tried that? I have lots of low-carb recipes (a whole binder full). Maybe I should start posting some on the "I'll Share My Recipe" post.

Georgysmom, I don't think it took my onions quite that long but at least a little over an hour.

Glenda, forgot to say I'm proud of you, GF! I know how much you like to cook and how hard it is to cook for one. It must be frustrating, but I don't think I could get presentable enough to eat out every day LOL!

I was going to have a meatloaf sandwich for supper, but kept craving a piece of toast. So I ate the meatloaf, plain, on a plate and had the toast afterwards.

I made a delicious pot roast in my dutch oven.

I had cabbage cooked with ham from Christmas that I had in the freezer, cornbread, and sliced tomatoes and cucumber.

Oh, my. That almost sounds like a "healthy" meal!

Tonight we are having rotisserie chicken, loaded mashed potatoes, beets and cranberry sauce. I sent Bobby out to get a vegetable, unless you tell him you want something else Beets is what you'll get. LOL

Sue, Peameal bacon is a chunk of Canadian bacon that has a cornmeal coating. Sliced and fried it's delicious. It's very lean, unlike bacon.

I made Beef Stroganoff, using a new recipe. I have to tell you that this was probably the best I have ever eaten and is now one of my new favorites!!! I added a salad and some sourdough bread....yun!

Geez. I'm getting hungry all over again. Everybody's had such good meals tonight.

Nita, the soup is so good. Of course, we have enough left for at least three more meals. I knew when you said you were having beets that Bobby must've picked the vegetable. I'm with him. Love 'em.

Gadgets, I think a grilled meatloaf sandwich would be good. With cheese :-)

Pam, is your dutch oven new? I like mine for pot roast because it holds a lot of vegetables along with the meat.

Frozen Kroger, enhanced pizza. Enhanced = extra pepporoni, onions and cheese. IT WAS AWESOME !!!!!

I browned/fried 15 pounds of chicken yesterday. Fricaseed some of it, freeze the rest of it for baked chicken BBQ, chicken soup, baked chicken with rice, chicken saute, chicken won tons, chicken stir fry, chicken fried chicken. (Does Forrest Gump come to mind?) Geez, I HATE CHICKEN - DH loves it.

Half of my stove is in the dishwasher.

Ask "What's for dinner?" tomorrow. It better be beef.

From the crock pot, Apple Bourbon pork tenderloin (Hormel) and was it ever good! With oven roasted Yukon Gold potato wedges, corn, lettuce salad and applesauce.
