Does anyone else create 'draft' emails instead of using Word?

I seem to be doing this a lot lately to create "documents" that I know I won't need to keep for very long. For example, if I see something in a forum thread that I want to refer to later (like azzalea's recipe contests info), I'll copy and paste the text into a blank new message in my email program rather than opening up Word. Then I just save it in my drafts folder. That way I don't end up with a ton of bookmarks or desktop icons, and I don't have to worry about searching for a tidbit of info that's buried in a thread somewhere on page 62.

Using my email program (Windows Mail) is easier for me because I almost always have my email open whenever I'm using the computer, I don't have to worry about unnecessary html formatting messing up the document (like it can in Word), I don't have to create a folder to store it in, and best of all, I can find it again easily without having to wade thru several levels of document folders.

I often do this when I want to compose a long forum thread, but don't want to do it in the "posting" box in the forum. By creating my post text in an email message instead, I can view more of the text at one time, and I can spell check it. Then it's just a quick control-A, control-C, go to KT, and control-V in the "message" box.
