Speaking of older dogs---

I don't want to hijack mojomom's post about her trip, but how old did your dog live to be? I have a chihuahua/terrier mix and she will be 16 in March, and really shows no signs of slowing down. Still has her teeth, and still eats dry Iams. (SHOULD I be wetting it??) When she wants to, she will play and run around chasing my chiweenie that is 3. The only thing is her sight is not quite as good, and I can see a little 'hazing' over her eyes. Her hearing has gotten really bad. But, other than that she seems ok. She even jumps OFF the bed, but I put her IN. AND, she can handle the four steps outside to come in. I just dread the day I lose her tho. I've had her almost as long as I was given my daughter. (She was gone at 19). Doesn't compare, just saying.
