Yes, it does help seeing the preview! There are epidendrum flowers on the left of the picture, also out of focus because they are at a different distant than the feeder. BTW, I only saw the preview the first time and so I reloaded the picture file.

Test photo - dinner in Santa Fe. Hmmm, while the linked photo is fine, the thumbnail here (before clicking on it) is strangely stretched horizontally. This cell phone photo was resized with PicResize.

The same image resized with Shrink Picture. The thumbnail seems to look the same here.

Lee, thumbnails are one size, and they shrink or stretch the original photo to fit the thumbnail. My picture here got squeezed (because it is very wide), and yours got stretched.

I love your dinner photo - I love mussels but have never associated them with Santa Fe, since it is about as far from an ocean as you can get!

I don't know if this was mentioned on the other thread, but I think the photos are way too small.

lbpod, if you click on a thumbnail and get a smaller picture, that means that the photo that was uploaded is smaller than the thumbnail size, and that is the fault of the person who uploaded it.

Bumblebeez, if you click on my hummingbird picture, it should fill your screen in width; the picture is 1600 pixels wide. The size of the photos is determined in part by the person uploading the photo, and I have found the size limit of 250 mg to be plenty large. However, I am using Photoshop to optimize and resize my photos, which helps. GIMP is a free program that you can use instead of Photoshop to optimize and resize photos.

Thank you, Lars, that does work and what a great picture!
I do have photoshop and originally I was going to post the rabbit pics through this new upload but when I resized them on Photoshop (which I now realize I did wrong- I resized them to 250 pixels) they were unusable.

I'll have to give it another try. Thank you again.

Just came to test and there's no longer the option, or instructions, to load a pic. Probably a temporary glitch but I figured I'd mention.

Jasdip - I realized the cause for my confusion minutes after I posted but didn't bother posting again. Originally you had to wait until you got to the preview page to upload the picture (as the instructions still state - "You will be asked to designate your image file on the preview page, the second step in posting.") At the time of my posting the upload option was offered on the first page but not on the review page, but I hadn't noticed it on the former. Now it seems to be offered on both.

Jasdip, I used your saying yesterday! I had to pxx so bad but I couldn't take a break because the Mustangs we were in extra innings in the championship game. I told the parents that if they saw water dribbling down my leg...it was tears of joy or sadness depending on the out come of the game.

They thought it was hilarious.

Riverrat, if you reply to a message, the Preview button shows a Browse button to upload pictures.

I should have made my shrinking cheese post, using the new way of uploading pics.

Oh, I can't the file is too big.

If you're using Windows XP and Outlook Express it's easy to make your pics smaller.... Right click on the pic, go to Send To then to Mail Recipient... A window will open, make sure there's a dot in Make all my pictures smaller then click Ok... An e-mail will open with a smaller version of your pic Attached... From there all you have to do is Right click and Drag & Drop to another folder.

Recommendation to GW - I think it would be nice if the file stayed there when you edit your post, rather than having to pull it up fresh each time you make a change.

You got it FOAS! On both counts.

Yes, when we post a pic and then add an additional comment, we have to download it again. Since the picture stays now, when we download it from other sites, there must be a way to keep it there, from the GW site.
