1. This year, Houzz users got excited about home offices that made use of an existing space. This adorable and tiny office did a great job of transforming a closet. Just add wallpaper, shelving, a built-in desk — and voila!
2. While this home office was built into an old guest room, many Houzz users saved it as an idea for a great kitchen desk. The built-in shelving and limestone countertops would look great in any room.
3. The owners of this house created a home office under the stairs. A few wall shelves and a built-in desk (or small table), and you're all set. Try using a chair with wheels so you can roll it away when entertaining.
4. The maze-like shape of the shelves behind this desk is what initially drew readers to this luxe home office. Houzz users also bookmarked it for the bronze colored wallpaper, accented with spring green textiles. Wallpaper is a great decorating tool in a home office — it can make a huge difference in a small space.
5. The great thing about this office is that even though it looks incredibly high-end, all of the items were vintage or bought affordably. The simple desk is actually a dining table from Ikea, and the stool and chair were reupholstered vintage finds.
6. A clean, white Louis Ghost Chair turns this office from average to stunning. Users loved how the designer transformed a slightly awkward nook in the corner of this room into a great desk space.
7. The clever use of Ikea cabinetry and bookshelves adds a ton of storage to this colorful room, and Houzz users loved the fun graphic touch that the black and white curtain brings to the room.
8. While the black, white, and yellow palette first drew readers to this colorful office space, it was the smart storage solutions that made Houzzers bookmark this shot. Wall shelving holds neat and tidy boxes for odds and ends, and two desks from Pottery Barn provide plenty of workspace for two people.
9. The office in this home is hidden just behind a set of industrial, barn-style doors. Houzz users also loved the blend of the wall colors and the pink carpet inside the office space.
10. This gift wrapping room might look like heaven for any crafty Houzzers out there. It was impossible not to save this photo for all of the smart ways to store gift-wrap and ribbon, but Houzz users also loved the trellis-style wallpaper.
11. Like the first photo, Houzzers loved this shot for its clever closet transformation. In this space, the door was kept on. If the room needs to be used for something else, the chair just needs to be wheeled away, and the door is closed and locked.
12. The architectural details in this room made it a dream office for many Houzzers. The rich blue walls make the detailing on the doors and ceiling stand out even more, and the modern pendant makes the space slightly glamourous.
13. This stunning office is definitely a high-end space, but users loved it for its practical use of a long and narrow room. Putting a desk against one full side of the room creates enough workspace for two. Keeping it narrow allows for a small seating area on the other wall.
14. The contractors at this office made this fabulous bookshelf out of salvaged timbers and large threaded rod. The lime-green wall really makes the bookshelf pop.
15. Houzzers love how this office used closet-style doors to tuck it away in an alcove. If the space is a mess, you can easily keep the doors closed when guests come over.
16. While the layout of this desk space has a slightly executive feel, readers loved the crafty touches in this home office. The combination of bookshelves, mirror, and the chandelier work perfectly with the white and spring-green color choices.
17. For those Houzzers who like something a little more modern, this serene and minimal space provided the perfect inspiration. The shelves were a particular point of interest in this room — they're so slim, they nearly disappear.
18. Even if you need to shove your office space in the corner of another room, you still want it to feel comfortable, organized and inspiring. Houzzers love this space because there's still plenty of storage around this small desk. It's also situated to have a perfect view out the window.
19. Because this office shares a space with a small den, Houzz users found it to be a great example of how to work an office into another room. Picking out a desk and chair that work well with the rest of the product in the room can make a big difference.
20. The built-in desk in this room has a lot of space — it can hold 6 monitors on the work surface alone! Houzz users loved how this built-in integrated storage space, and how the office took advantage of a beautiful view and plentiful natural light.
