Canera Suggestions wanted

I am in the market for a Bridge Camera. I remember a month or so ago there was a post and a few people posted their favorites but I can't find it. Please let me know what you have an what are your favorite/least favorite parts about it. I have a great point and shoot (Konica Minolta Dimage 50) but I want something a little better quality and a little faster. All replies are much appreciated

Thanks Jodi. I appreciate the message. Will do some research on all cameras suggested. I want to stay under $500. My problem is that I'll buy it and barely use it. I love photography but haven't been taking many pictures the past few years. Oh well. Maybe if I have a nice camera it will motivate me to take more pics.

I have seen some beautiful clematis and would love to grow some. Will they do well with quite alot of shade? Also are they very delicate? I was once told they were so delicate that even bumping them with a lawn mower or brushing past them would kill them. If they are hardy enough that would be my favorite option. Thank you for suggesting them.

I like how they look there, they create a good balance with the large mirror. Calming. But I would hang them just a bit further apart (keeping them vertical). What is it you don’t like about them? You could do one piece there: Does the mirror have to stay in that spot? Which is the color of it currently? I like the lighter color much better, it’s not so overpowering and has an interesting texture that shows up better. The darker color is too matchy with the coffee tables.

In my new build, I want a creamy white for my walls. Suggestions? I need to pick from Sherwin Williams palette. Does anyone have a color they recommend? My trim is white (I'm not sure exact color of white - but looks 'very white') These 12 all likely have enough Chroma (colorfulness) to contrast with the 'very white' trim so neither makes the other look dirty or dingy. If you get all or some of the colors, put them in order by hue angle (first image) and also by chroma (second image). Because comparing white paint chips without a plan leads to confusion - i.e. what exactly are you looking at or for. When you work from ordered color chips, a strategy, you know why a color does or doesn't make the cut. When you put them in order by hue angle like this, you'll easily see the gradation of hue family and it will be easier to see which color/hue family goes with fixed finishes and important elements. Putting the chips in order by chroma like this, it's easy to see just how neutral you can and/or want to go with the light and existing 'very white' trim you have to work with.

Yes, I think the bridge cameras some of us were raving about were from the Panasonic Lumix line. A friend asked me a couple of months ago about the FZ35 (one of the ones I have), and I suggested he check out the used offerings on Amazon. He ended up buying one that way, from a woman who had owned hers only a short time. It's in like-new condition and cost him only $250.

Mere, if you find yourself in my area let me know and you can stop by and check out the Lumix. I'll send you my phone number. I paid $399 for my camera last year at B&H Photo online. I also bought a UV filter and 16Gb memory card and the total bill was $437.

The link below might be the thread you had seen. It has some good replies, especially Lazypup's.

I suggest you get one with an actual viewfinder, as opposed to one that just has the screen. I've never been able to see the screens very well in bright light, though there have been some improvements on them since I bought mine.
