New Furnace and Central Air Quote/System

Hi,

Trying to determine if the quote I received for installing a new furnace, heat pump for central air, and Icomfort thermostat along with air filtration is a good price.

Specs:

Lennox SLP98070 97% AFUE

Lennox XP21-024 SEER 18.2 EER 13.2 HSPF 8.7

Lennox CX34-31 + TDR + TXV (Cooling coils)

Install outdoor temp sensor for furnace modulation

PureAir System

Icomfort thermostat

Includes electrical, plumbing, and permits.

Price: $14,234 (before rebates)

Size of house 1200 sf Cape style house located in Massachusetts. Electrical rate is about .0896/kwh and gas is about 1.34/therm. Does it make sense to install this system? I currently have a Carrier that is about 20 yrs old, working fine.

Why I am questioning this is also because of the hot water tank quote. A Rinnai RC80 HPIN on demand water heater from a different contractor is $2,690 installed (800 rebate not incl) while the AC contractor quoted $3,384 for a Rinnai R75LSI. Also to install dual zones would cost about $2,500, not sure if its needed and if so, if its a good price.

Any input would be great! Just its alot of money and want to be sure its worth it and the price is a good price:)

Thanks again!
