The Chocolate Show

Was really nice. I do wish the demonstrations were not so spread out - there was a lot of time in between them and not a lot to do besides sit around and eat chocolate LOL! Anyway, here are a few pics taken with my phone since my camera died:
Antoine Amrani (was the exec pastry chef for Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia, now on his own as a chocolatier). Making truffles - I wrote the method, and will try to transcribe it into something understandable. This is where he was making the caramel for the truffle filling.

Some of the samples from his chocolate shop. Raspberry and Hazelnut Truffles in the foil wraps and I dont even remember all the other flavors but I know one was earl Grey.

These were my favorite I think, Moet & Chandon Truffles with the hand painted edible foil on top.

These were interesting, but I didn;t love them. The kids thought they were out of this world

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS

Chocolate carving - it was interesting, but a little skeevy to think about eating it. the guy who did the carving didn;t look too sanitary and the thought of eating something he had his hands all over made me a little queasy.

The kids LOVED the Baked Alaska. He also had Baked Alaska Cupcakes which were fun :-)

There were several offerings of edible chocolate boxes filled with truffles...

And several vendors selling stuff to dip in fountains

All in all it was fun
