Thermostat wiring help, Honeywell to White-Rodgers

Helloy all, I have a Trane Heatpump system. It was installed with a Honeywell Thermostat model # T8011R 1006. The following letters are in use on the Honeywell Thermostat: G, C, R, W1 (bridged to Y), Y, W2, O

I have a new thermostat, White-Rodgers 1F95-1277. This thermostat has the following available:

B, 0, Y2, Y, G, RC, RH, C, W2, W/E, L

The White-Rodgers come with RC and RH bridged and a note that says "the jumper wire between RH and RC must be removed for 2 transformer systems"

I can match every letter from Honeywell to White-Rodgers except for R. Does R go to RC or RH, and do I unbridge RC and RH? Does W1 and Y still need to be bridged on the White-Rodgers thermostat? Do I do something totally different?

Leave the jumper and hook R to one of the RC or RH terminals.

Make sure you tell the stat you want HP1 setup. We've had a couple of service calls lately for DIYers forgetting that step!

It doesn't matter if I use RC or RH for R?

Do I still bridge W1 to Y on the White-Rodgers? Is W1 the same as W/E?

I would like to help you, but the connection names you listed are not used in North America. I would need to understand the function of each terminal in order to figure out how the thermostat should be connected. Does the installation manual give any details? Have you tried speaking to Honeywell? You may be able to get Honeywell customer service to help if this is a do-it-yourself type thermostat.

I'm trying to figure out how to reply to each response but I'm just not seeing it so. Thanks Steve for the formula. jreagan this is a bare bones AC transformer that needs an enclosure and maybe a ground somewhere. That brings me to the power cord that has 3 wires. I was hoping for a simpler solution like a RadioShack device with built in plastic case. dennisgli this link shows something like what I have. One simple troubleshooting method would be to swap the yellow and the white wire connections on both ends (furnace and thermostat). If that solves the problem then you have verified that its just the white wire that is causing a problem with the heat function. If that does not resolve the problem, then it may be the thermostat. You could troubleshoot that by borrowing a working thermostat, or buying an inexpensive to try and return. Thermostat wire is fairly small and light, and seems to be often installed by the HVAC company. They don't take much time to tack it down, so you might be able to use the existing wire to pull in a new one. It just depends on how many turns it takes and whether you have access. Even if you have to run a new wire using another route, the wire itself is quite inexpensive. Bruce

help!! i disconnected my white rodgers before i labeled the wires. now am trying to install hunter douglas programmable thermostat, but cant since i did not label wires. the w/r therm was installed in 1994. dont kno model number or where to find it. oh my!! help!

I have a white rodgers type no IF82-261 20-30volts50/60HZ new and want to take out an old 2 wire honeywell. there are 4 terminals above C L W2&E above and four below R G O/B&Y on the white rodgers.For heat only wich 2 terminals should I connectt to make it work thanks asap

Replaced an old round honeywell heat/cool thermostat with an white-rodger 1F78-144. Unit works well in cool and works in heat but notice on/off flashing repeatedly on the board in heating. This supposed to mean a low voltage wiring problem.
The unit is non-programmable and I wired r/r with jumper intact,g/g,w/w and blue on the yellow terminal going to yellow on the board. Did I miss something?
