Paintbrush possessed me

I had bought an inexpensive pine shelf at Pat Catans for $10 last week for the kitchen. Wasn't loving it, but this morning I primed it and put a coat of "Folklore" green paint on it. Wow. Not looking too bad, but will see how it looks on the wall later.

Then I look over at the old painted cupboard in the pantry. My new green paint looks suspiciously like the green on the cupboard, maybe a tad darker. Now one side of this cupboard was not painted green, but left a dirty buff color by whomever painted it 50yrs or more ago. Either that side was against the wall or they ran out of paint. Soooo, I dab a little of my new paint there. Hey....looks good. Suddenly what started out as a day of painting one little shelf has turned into painting a cupboard too. I have one more door to go. Already it looks so clean and fresh. Amazing what a little paint will do.
