Hey Ann, saw this posted on another forum They gave the pie credit to M. Benoit, but used your picture.

Shelley, that IS the recipe for Ann T's rhubarb pie but if you scroll down in her "spring" thread you'll find Ann posted the recipe and also gave credit to Madame Benoit.

Ann T's pie is a lot prettier, though....

Shelley, Yup, that is the exact recipe I posted which includes the changes I made. AND it is one of my pie pictures.

Royal Standard - could easily be - is it fairly easily available? Steve, I don't remember where I got the hosta! It's been years. Either I bought it from the local nursery (which I believe to be a reliable source) or it was given to me by a friend (which would mean it could have come from anywhere). Comforting that you all think sun scorch, although I'm surprised. I thought this was a rather shady location. Is this variety more susceptible than others? I certainly have other hostas that get more sun than these. Vein pairs - I know they can be used for ID, but I won't be worrying about that for some time. Need to learn growing and maintainence first! Fertilization - they were treated with MirAcid earlier this spring (we have somewhat alkaline soil) but have not had any other treatment. Thank you for the rapid responses. Now I will hope that no one else chimes in to say it looks like HVX! I will be posting some pics for ID soon, thank you. Ann

When I was a child Dad bought me three rabbits, a buck and two does. We put them in the chicken coop. In a year we had 119 bunnies, and that didn't count the ones we ate, we gave away, etc. I never did manage to sell one, no one here wants a bunny. You literally cannot give them away, then or now. Dad finally opened that door and let them go. When the boys go rabbit hunting at the farm they still get white bunnies, black bunnies, golden bunnies with white feet. They apparently adjusted quite nicely to the habitat because that was at least 40 years ago and their offspring still are everywhere in Norwich Township in spite of the flourishing fox population. And now I have a family of them in the backyard eating my plants. Of course, my theory has always been that if I feed them, I get to eat them, but there's some rule or another about shooting a gun within the city limits. funny, though, if I try to uy dressed rabbit to eat, it's about $5 a pound. We raised them to eat for a while but eventually no one had the stomach to kill them so we quit. I will tell you that you should not put rabbit in a crockpot unless youw atch it carefully. It'll fall apart and then you spent a lot of time picking out all those tiny little bones..... Annie

Gibsongirl and Vaporvac - I can confirm that Munstead Wood does quite well in my zone 5 and will be fine in yours. Looks like the short compact growth it's reported to have only applies to our colder zones, since the fabulous pictures from warmer zones throughout this thread indicate it can get much bigger (and broader). I agree with Sean though - I adore MW and would plant another in a heartbeat if the space opens up. Cynthia

Ann, if I remember correctly, that isn't the first time someone has "stolen" your pictures and taken credit for them.

I still think your "spring" pie is prettier, though.

Well, to give the benefit of doubt, from what I see the poster took credit for neither the recipe nor the picture. And might not have known she should have credited Ann T rather than Madame Benoit. (Heck, even the site name implies that it's not one's own recipes that are being shared.)

And at least the picture matched the pie - didn't a recent more blatant "thief" actually post Ann's picture along with a completely different recipe? Now THAT was pretty bad!

Foodonastump, you are right, the poster did not take credit but then again she/he also did not give credit either. I honestly do not mind when someone posts a recipe or a photo, but I think it is common courtesy to either give credit or link to where they found it. In this case it was taken off my blog. I tried to post, nicely to that forum, but who ever does the moderating hasn't posted my comment yet.

It is funny that you should mention that other pie photo. I think that it was only CF members that noticed that the pictured didn't match the recipe. And on that particular site they left the original post and photo but deleted my comments and all the follow-up comments of CF members.
