Every time I have pushed in those tabs the roll has refused to move.

shaun - LOL!!! I didn't know it either until my friend pointed it out to me a year or two ago. I felt like an idiot. I always complained about those rolls.

Shaun, we are two peas in a pod. As you can see from the roll of foil that i have had to re-roll and put back (and from the tab on the end that hasn't been pushed in) I never knew it! LOL. Thanks!

OT just slightly, has anyone else noticed that regular Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil has gotten thinner? I find myself now buying/using the Heavy Duty foil just like Stacy!

I also buy the Heavy Duty. Hey Stacy, I see the little "Press here to lock" on the end of your foil.

I've used the "lock" and like Netla, it jams!

Just found it on the tin foil, but not on the waxed paper or stretch wrap. Who knew!!

I didn't know either. Now, if they can only find a way to keep the end of the plastic wrap from getting lost!

I usually take the roll out on purpose because I have more control. Then I cut it with scissors... if I use the metal strip I will slice myself every time. I could kiss the person who invented the slide cutters though (well, if they were cute).
