Mother's Day Menu

Hello everyone,

I normally hang out in the Building a Home forum, since that's what we're doing.

We're very, very close to being done with the house. We installed our appliances this week and will have a working oven, advantium and cooktop by the weekend. No refrigerator though other than a kegerator. :)

We've invited everyone over for Mother's Day so that they can see our progress. I absolutely can't wait to use my appliances to make food for everyone, but I'm struggling with exactly what to make that would be "house ALMOST done" friendly. We don't have any countertops or anything like that yet, and won't by Sunday.

We'll probably spend a lot of time outside if it's nice so I'm trying to think of something that I'll be able to serve as kind of a "take it when you're ready" kind of meal. Basically I don't want to serve a roast chicken or something that would require that we all sit down and eat at the same time, since we don't have anywhere to sit! Obviously I could do sandwiches or something like that, but that seems a little too informal for Mother's Day.

Does anyone have any ideas what I might be able to serve in this situation? Maybe individual pizzas that I could prep at home then take there with us and cook as needed? I could do a casserole of some kind I guess, since the advantium has a warming feature. I'm just kind of stumped and am hoping someone here has some great ideas.

Thanks in advance!
