For drawers that big, I like 2 pulls. it's easier to open such a big and potentially heavy drawer. Plus 1 pull can look pretty small & insignificant on such a big drawer front. I don't think the cup pulls come much bigger than 3" or so. So getting one big one for the middle probably isn't possible with a cup pull.

You don't necissarily have to do the same thing on smaller drawers, you can either do a smaller version (if available) or a knob, maybe solid metal or crystal... depending on your style

We have two bin pulls on our large drawers (36" and 39") but I only ever use one to open them, even the pot drawers. They open smoothly and easily with just one pull. However, I agree with granite-girl that a single pull will look too small. How long are the ones from RH?

I had one bin pull on my 36" drawers, I liked only have one because we all have a tendency to open with only one, if you have two pulls after time your drawer can get pulled out of true.

Sabjimata, if the ones you are looking at from RH are like those, I think they would work nicely for one pull on the large drawers. However, I would go with something different (like a knob) on the small drawers or the two different bin pulls might get a little busy.

Just my opinion. :)

We actually have two bin pulls on our large drawers, but the glides are so nice that I could see how they would easily open with just one in the middle.

I LURVE Segbrown's kitchen and have salivated over it many a lonely nite...but funny enough, i never payed attention to the pulls. The RH ones come sized from 3" up to 12"! I like how Segbrown used some different pulls and knobs. Looks great.

I have the same pulls as segbrown in a different finish. On 30 and 36" drawers I used one 6" pull, and on smaller drawers I used one 4" pull. I like it =)

Here you go...kitchen isn't finished yet, but that's a 30" wide drawer stack on the left and a 36" stack in the middle. On the big drawers are the Restoration Hardware 6" Gilmour pulls, and the small drawers have the 4":

wow...the 6" lookds good. are they the same height as the 4"?

oh, and donka, i am really digging how you put the pulls at the top of the drawer and not centered. i am thinking of doing the same thing. :)

The pulls are the same height. If I did it again I might go with the 8" pull on the 36" drawers though.

I like the idea of mixing and matching different size pulls but in my kitchen it just looked better to keep it consistent and have all the same size pulls. They were all placed 3.5 inches down from the top of the drawer to also keep it visually consistent. We have 4" pulls from RH, even on our 36" drawers
