NEW T9802 DRYER LISTED ON MIELE WEB SITE! So finally the dryer has been updated as well as the washer (W4842). I currently have an Asko set and am very tempted to take the plunge into the "super high capacity" arena. I realize that I hardly ever use temps in excess of 160F, and the Mieles go up to 158F which should suit most of my needs. There seem to be quite a few happy and satisfied owners on this forum, and a few that don't like these machines. Any thoughts or recommendations? Anything to be wary of with these units?

From the FPE Specifiers Manual itself... (which you'll get with your paint order! It's the dark green booklet in my pic posted in the other thread..) APPLICATIONS: "Windows, doors, trim, cabinets, shutters, garden furniture, - as a rule, ECO is suitable for use on surfaces which previously would have been coated with Brilliant or Satin enamel." (...meaning...where Oils would usually have been used in times past.) Their lead-in paragraph on the ECO page... ECO. Brilliant & Satin- "State-of-the-art odorless, water-thinnable, urethane-alkyd emulsion. Combines the advantages of both modern acrylic and traditional oil formulations. Available in Brilliant or Satin finishes, both equally durable." IMO...the ECO Brilliant white I sampled looked quite beautiful! wow - I'm way behind on keeping up with all of the changes - but before I forget what I'm thinking - here goes (and someone might have already posted some/any/or none of it) if you open up into the dining area (w/LR) that would help a lot. put the big table there. maybe enlarge the window off to the patio area. then you could put the big frzr/fridge on the wall (old pantry) that says 'cab' (backed up to the msg center area). Put that super big range on the far wall of the 'old pantry' and there should be room on either side for some counter top with the counter turning around to the wall along the back patio - where you could put another DW and prep sink - with windows all above that for more light. keep (redo?) the penisula where you face into the FM - you like that and it's usable when not too many people are there (well, usable either way). Cozier when all the kids / gkids aren't there. nice usable space when maybe just a gkid or 2 stay over. OR you could change it a bit and make it into an island in that area with a hang over area and stools. (not the 'I'm drunk' hang over tho...) I'd have to scan back up to see what moving the table to the other dining space does to that 'was there' wall in the kitchen and placement of the fridge / micro tho. then I'd lose my place on this thread and spend valuable reading time searching for it again... lol! again - wow - what a space to have to use - what a kitchen! OH BTW - I'm in AZ - we have very, very hot summers. Skylights are not a problem tho... my sister has one in her kitchen (had one in her old kitchen) and I have one in my new (soon to be) kitchen. does it get hotter'n 120 in the summer there?? If you think it might be a problem (not used to it) I'm sure they can be fitted with a blind (remote controlled). They can also open for air (again remote controlled). a couple of ceiling fans would help also.

Thanks for the comps guys. Maecat - The house has a typical rear entry garage. You enter the back of the house from the garage or the back patio. We use our garage for darts and ping pong. We can fold up the ping pong table and still get both cars in the garage...so that works great. Susan - We bought the stone from Whiz-Q stone in south Fort Worth. There website is www.whizq.com. Great group of people. I live in Carrollton and wanted to buy from places I found in Lewisville and Frisco and they were not friendly to the non-commercial buyer. Whiz-Q was just the opposite. I called ahead and asked if I could get some samples and when I showed up they had gallon zippys with my name ready to roll. The stome I bought was Arizona Extra Small Cobble for $160/ton. The final bill was for around $850. It was $640 for the rock. $85 for delivery. $45 for the bags. Then tax. I thought it was very fair. As for how much you will need, they have a calculator on there website to figure this out. You enter the square footage and the depth and it tells you how much you need. Ours worked out perfectly. It was a bit of a drive to go to there but it was well worth it to check it out and talk to them. Plus you can see their products in person. Desertfix - The PVC is run underneath the deck for future low volt lights. I should have done this before the rock, but I am not sure if I am going to do this or not. We have checked our CYA and it has been in the 70s lately but everything else is in check.
