If you like to watch 'The Closer'.....

On TNT, be aware- the new season starts tonight at 8PM Central time, but the last episode of last season will be on right before that at 7 PM. YAY! I missed that one last Sept because our power was out. Woody was out of town, too, so he'll get to see it, this is great! We love this show, the cast is excellent and the writing is so good. Even the wardrobe is wonderful. Kyra's is, anyway.

Be there or be....... someplace else. lol

It's a great show. I don't have cable, but I got the DVDs for my past two birthdays.

*Update - Well, the four of us did make it to The Chew on Tuesday and the show they were taping will be shown in most of the country on Friday, May 24th. It was very interesting to see how they shot the segments so out of sequence of the finished product. The tasters were filmed tasting the food before the hosts even began to prepare it. We completed a fun day with a visit to the American Folk Art Museum, late lunch at an Irish pub, a stop at Zabar's and some general roaming around. We took advantage of a new senior rate at one of the local bus companies for $21.50 round trip, which was a great savings. The only downside was that the show gave us these huge insulated tote bags filled with product placement samples, including a microplane zester, boxes of pasta, and large glass jars of Hellman's mayo. I like to travel light and didn't plan on toting all that around. All five co-hosts were there and interacted with the audience in between takes. Carla Hall is my favorite. We couldn't take photos during the shooting but I took one just before it started. I am truly blessed to have friends with adventuresome spirits.

I'm an anglophile, so I am interested. I'll be happy seeing the TV news AFTER the event. (Much nicer than having to arrive at the Abbey at 8 a.m. for an 11 a.m. service; seriously, that's in the schedule.) I'm interested to see that the Middleton family has taken over The Goring Hotel. The bride will be sleeping there tonight. DH, DS and I stayed there before a Baltic cruise a LONG time ago. DS was intrigued with the very elaborate bathrooms, and his little room under the eaves overlooked the hotel's large private garden. The palace is just 'round the corner. One of the best trips we ever took was driving around the counties outside of London, staying in self-catering places. I've loved England since touring when I was 14.

I like Capt. Rayder, she's really come a long way from when she first started on the show. She's gone from snooty and competitive to funny and caring. I think she'll do well in the new show. I think what won me over was when she was getting stories from Brenda's mom over Christmas dinner, of when Brenda was younger. And then when she nailed that bad guy with her bean-bag shotgun, right between the eyes. The other detectives were so impressed and kept that beanbag. It was a hoot.

If only..no cable. :( I agree, great cast and writers.

With the help of my friend, who used to record all the shows for me, I became such a fan and still miss it. Just luv the way Kyra says, "Thank you!" lol

Guess I'll invest in those DVDs like Alisande has.

Thanks for this post! I have watched it since it began and LOVE it. So glad she dumped the red lipstick, but I love everything they put on her! :)

I think so many people wrote in about the horrid lipstick that they actually wrote that into the show and had her change it.

She didn't win? She was robbed. Her show is the best thing on and she just makes it.

I'm starting to freak out- we're beginning to accumulate ice- if we lose power before 9 PM Central, you will hear a scream that won't quit!!!!! Ike in Sept, Ice in Jan. Grrrr! I'll feel jinxed! (I can't bear to listen to that noisy generator for 2 hours just so I can watch TV.)

Don't worry! Most TV shows are available on-line. It won't be right away, but within a week or so.

I tried to add a link, but for some unknown reason, can't.

They often replay the non network shows at another time. Check the guide and look at off hours as well like before prime time and in the wee hours.

I don't understand why they make this such a short season show. It seems to be popular. I don't get it.
