Advice Regarding AC/Furnace Replacement

Unfortunately, a tree recently landed a direct hit on my 10 year old Carrier condensor unit (part of 4 ton R22 system). I am currently considering my options for replacing the old unit along with the simultaneous replacement of my Carrier 80% 132k BTU furnace that also came with the house 10 years ago.

Following heat loss/load calc. assessment, the only quote worth pursuing seems to be one for a Luxaire split system (LX Series 14.5 SEER, 3.5 ton unit, 410a) and a 95.5% single stage 100k BTU furnace (1600 cfm). The quote came in well under $6,000 and I would welcome any insights and opinions regarding the reliability and quality of Luxaire ACs/Furnaces, in addition to the relative reasonableness of the quote provided.

Background: I live in the New England and my home is 2700 s.f. with an open floor plan. The old Carrier AC and furnace had no problems over the last ten years and were more than capable of cooling/heating the house effectively.

Thank you in advance for your input.
