I'd take those Peg and Susan, but we got plenty last night. It's all slush today and thankfully the roads are clear. But, it was just beautiful as it fell last night. I love snow, too.

I'll keep the snow but I'm ready to ship the cold weather and wind some place else.

It's snowing here now. I love it! It cleans things up. I hate the dirty sloppy stuff that we get several days after a snowfall when it warms up. Somehow a fresh blanket of white snow on New Years Day just starts the year off right!

I live across the street from Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. I'm on the 18th floor. You can send me all of your snow but I don't want it in a box. I like it when it falls gently from the sky. I'm a winter baby, Saggitarius, and they say the time of year that you are born affects whether you like heat or cold. Oh, I'll take your cold weather too, I hate summer.

You can have my share of snow....it looks so pretty but I hate the cold!
DH and I went to the snow while we were in Palm Springs....took the tram up to 8500 feet and took a walk on a cleared trail and then back inside for hot chocolate.
My kind of snow....you can leave when you feel like it. LOL

I love snow too - as long as it's somewhere other than where I am!!! Very pretty in pictures but that's as close as I ever want to be to the stuff.

My older sister has lived in St. Thomas for at least 10 years. She is spending her first winter in Maine in their summer home, and she is sick and tired of snow!! Has anyone posted (or seen the email) that is the Diary of a Demented Snow Shoveler? It's not fit to print here, but maybe I could clean it up a little. VERY funny stuff!!!

I love snow too. don't get it much though. We DID have a white Christmas for about 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gorgeous maybe but treacherous driving. Over 162 accidents on hwy 401 yesterday - mainly single cars losing it. Right now I am shoveling the snow to start getting outside ready for work tomorrow....since I have to leave at 8 am, I will be outside at 7:15 shoveling the embankment (expect a 3 foot by 3 foot from this snowfall) after the plow passes during the night or just before I leave....

I love snow...so much that I moved out of it as soon as I could...It's nice when you don't have anything to do but play in it...but I never seemed to be able to just PLAY in it...I was always having to scrape windshields and pull a suitcase in it...that was NOT fun!

I sooo love your view Donna!! I spent a month at 2 East Oak in downtown Chicago on the 36th floor my first month flying...I loved it!!

That is Hwy 2, one of the two main routes to eastern WA. We went cross country skiing; this was on the way home. The pass sign said " traction tires advised"..SO MANY WRECKS and spin outs! We actually had to put chains on our Bronco! That photo was right above the hairpin turn at the bottom of the mountain right before Skykomish. Kathy

ronm80, I was born in Minn. and lived here for almost 30 years, then lived in Southwestern New Mexico for 16 years, and have been back in Minn for about 6 years. In New Mexcio I lived at 6,000 feet elevation so we'd get snow in the winter but it would usually melt in just a few days. If we wanted more snow a 9,000 ft. mountain was just a 20 minute drive away. So, I didn't miss the snow. I missed the green of Minn. in the summer. Where I lived averaged 16 inches of precip. a year. Not desert but not very green either. I lived on the edge of the Gila Nat'l Forest, a 1.5 million acre playground of endless hiking and camping oppurtunities. That's what I really miss. And 16 years worth of friends. But, my parents are 91 and 82 so it's time to be back here and be the responsible son. I do keep a folder of New Mexico photos on the computer to browse through as needed.

I love the way it makes everything shades of white and black and grey, but I hate cold. We even had a white Christmas here a couple of years ago. Here is a pic of snow on the bayou I live on in s/e Texas. (Those 7 buzzards in the tree across the bayou look awfully cold too!)

I realise it's not fun when you have to drive in it. I feel bad for all the car accidents. I usually have to fly in it and end up with lengthy delays on those days. But....
I still love cold, snowy, wintery days. It reminds me of when I was in grade school and got a snow day off. I loved sledding down the hill in our little town as a child.
