I like the Yogurt from Mc Donalds,

But would like to find some at the local grocery store,

can anyone recommend one simular that I can buy.

That taste just as good ! and Healthy

I seldom eat yogurt but I buy 5 quarts a day for my possums. I buy strawberry HEB (grocery chain here)or strawberry from Walmart. They like the Walmart brand better. :))

Linnea, the banana bread recipe I use calls for 1/2 cup of sour cream, so that's what I always use. Obviously, Greek yogurt has less liquid since the liquid (whey) is drained out of it. For baking purposes, your question regarding adding milk made sense. See if this (from Cook's Illustrated) might help when it comes to baking with yogurt... "We weren’t surprised with our findings when we baked batches of bran muffins and peach cobbler (with a biscuit topping) using these two different types of yogurt. In both instances, the samples made with Greek yogurt tasted slightly drier than those made with American yogurt. To come up with a formula to compensate for the difference in moisture content, we drained 1 cup each of plain whole-milk, low-fat, and fat-free yogurt in a fine-mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth; after two hours, 1/3 cup of liquid had been exuded from each sample. Armed with these results, we went back into the test kitchen, reducing the amount of Greek yogurt used in our recipes by one-third and making up the difference with water. The results? Tasters found the muffins and cobblers nearly identical. So to substitute Greek-style yogurt for American-style yogurt in baked goods, remember this rule: Use only two-thirds of the amount of Greek yogurt called for in the recipe and make up the difference with water."

So, Ricky, I should admit that I don't like the kind of "cheesecake" that tastes like a block of Philly dunked in a bag of sugar. I do like the ricotta, eggs and flour kind, and have even made some, but it's not on the top of my must have list. That said, I kept thinking that your recipe sounded good. So. I acquired the needed quantities, though maybe not what was meant. Philly, naturally. One assumes the gum in it is an important ingredient, and I keep some on hand, along with the naturally prepared organic kind. I got Vermont Creamery mascarpone because it used to be my favorite, and the store had it. It's creamier than the stiffer it used to be. And I got Nancy's organic Greek yoghurt because they had plain in a 24 oz. container, which is big, rather than the giant ones. I was thinking you meant something more like Fage, which is also stiffer and it's tangier and sour-er. But I couldn't find any plain in any size, so I got the good stuff. :) But, lo! That's not the only way I messed with your recipe. I hate modern graham crackers and am not moved to try to make my own. Since I have none and hate them, I just scrounged in the freezer and found a couple of "lemon cheesecake" bakery cookies and some Ritz crackers. I did try to apply the zest, but it was too damp and clumped. It's from my tree and I think maybe grocery store lemons are dryer. I would have put the zest on a plate to dry if I wanted to wait around a couple of days, but I just let the clumps fall as they may and didn't add more, assuming the lemony cookies will be enough. The cookies also taste noticeably, at least while still cold, of vanilla, so I was unsure of a whole tablespoon more, so substituted some very old Grand Marnier which is gone to sugar to a great extent and needs using up. I also started with half the sugar, to my own taste, then added another splash of the Grand Marnier, for both sweet and flavor. One glug was sufficient. Of course, we'll have to find out what it's like tomorrow, but licking the spoon was sufficient to know it's flippin' delicious even if it's well off target for the copy you started off making. Oh! My first reaction was yes, unless you keep strictly kosher. ;) I think it'llcomd down to your particular usage. You can buy extra pieces to make it easier, like changeable seals in different colors, separate liner pots, in stainless, ceramic or non-stick. Nonstick can pick up odors that are hard to wash off. There are different kinds of ceramic pot linings. They shouldn't pick up odors, but I don't know, Do check prices, though. The Instant Pot itself isn't expensive, and the real money is made off those accessories. If you have room, two separate ones might be less money and hassle. There are a zillion recipes for just about everything, specifically for the Instantpot brand. If you know how to choose good recipes (or ask someone who does), because not all posted recipes work for everyone, you should be able to do anything you want. My own multicooker is Breville, but same principles. It was a gift, and took me a year to figure out what to do with it. Mine is by far the best slow cooker for meat I've used outside of my big fancy wall oven, It's the only pressure cooker I've used. On the stove pressure cookers are supposed tobe better, but if you just need to get an ingredient cooked fast, a multicooker on pressure works just fine. My seal and non-stick liner pot both that on odors and cling to them. I don't use it enough for it to be a bother, and they do air out, but it's an annoyance, and I do think those odors can migrate to the food, though I admit it can be a matter of the senses fulfilling expectation. I love my multicooker. The thing I make in it most often (given a lot of ways of cooking stuff here) is a hunk of chuck for enchiladas or similar. Dump it in on slow with some vegetables before bed. Done in the morning. Everyone I know who has an Instant Pot brand loves it, too.

Activia tastes and feels like the "junkier" yogurt but it also has good things for your digestive system. They make a fat free version in serveral flavours PLUS it doesn't contain the chemicals aspertame or splenda.

I bought a quart of organic vanilla yoogurt and added some canned drained sliced peaches,frozen raspberries and a teaspoon of vamilla extract. Delicious!

I've never had McDonald's yogurt, but would be suspicious of how "healthy" it is.

I'm probably the wrong person to answer this because I dislike yogurt made with gelatin or other additives that I feel have no place in yogurt. I used to make my own, but now I buy plain Dannon in quarts. Walmart has a good price.

We eat yogurt everyday. We used to buy the StonyField French Vanilla (large tubs and it has all the good bacteria). Now that we shop at Trader Joe's we buy the big tubs of TJ's French Vanilla (with all the good bacteria).

We top ours with fresh blueberries, cherries, stawberries, peaches...whatever we can get! Love the stuff. Good for you, too.

For a devine breakfast, use a martini glass or other pretty stemware that is wide enough to use like a dish.

Slice fresh strawberries and "line" the glass with those.
Add the French Vanilla yogurt in the middle (think pudding size portions).
Top with granola.
Lightly drizzle with honey (don't glob it on).

YUMMY! and it's so beautiful. We had this at The Inn at Biltmore on vacation and now we make it for our guests!

I like Brown Cow and the Trader Joes brand is good. I don't like the really sweet ones.

Many moons ago I made my own with whole,fresh from the dairy milk.There's nothing that compares to the taste of home made yogurt.
I buy the plain yogurt,usually Mal-Mart's brand and add fruit or whatever and Splenda for sweetner.Be sure you are getting yougurt that contains live cultures if you are looking for healthy.
