I ate a piece of toast around 10:00 so that sort of stopped my hunger. I have potato soup that I made yesterday, so I'll have that a bit later.

I'm making burritos with potatoes, cheese, and shredded leftover roast for supper. It sounds good to me now. Not sure what i will actually have.

bk thanks, I well understand the traditional food culture. I was omnivorous until 2007, now I'm 46 years old (in june), the only regret I have is not having started earlier to be vegan. Change eating habits it is not so difficult, for me it was indeed an extraordinary experience. Ken, I prefer escargots alive and kicking, ...preferably not on my hostas hehehe ...anyway I don't use products to kill them. Gary assassin, you are a meat cutter? there are still people who eat meat? ;-) josy67, thanks for the compliments. My advice is to try the Honeybells, I'm sure you'll like it, my plantaginea was soft and very tasty. Jan and tj thanks, but for me all meats are inappropriate ;-)

Marilyn Sue, its Sunday, so that calls for fried chicken, rice and gravy, green beans, biscuits, lemon cake, and pickled peaches. I cook before we go to church and have fixed the same Sunday meal for the past 50 years. Now I will have to change that , for a while would put the roast that cooks at 225 in the oven on Sat. night so it would be ready when we walked in from church. This is the only day of the week we eat the high calorie foods. For breakfast on Sundays we have the boney parts of the fried chicken, cream gravy , cream corn, and in the summer cantaloupe. Growing up all of this was cooked before we left just in case the preacher and his family of five kids came for lunch. Now the preacher doesn't come home with us, most of our folks eat out on Sunday. Love getting up on Sunday mornings, brings back all the memories of life in the 40's and 50's, growing up on the farm. One thing that is different, we don't have to dress the chickens before we start frying.

I had a small salad with ranch dressing. With ranch dressing because last night I made a salad and took out a new bottle of a pretty good honey mustard dressing and after I put it on my salad, I put the bottle back in the cupboard! Second time I've done that stupid move in the past couple of months. It wasn't terribly expensive but what a waste. Also heated up some leftover enchiladas suizas casserole from the freezer. I sort of followed this enchilada suizas recipe but I had already made the chicken (I used legs) and broth earlier. I layered everything instead of rolling the tortillas (rolling corn tortillas is a PITA and I didn't have to soften them in oil or microwave them, etc doing it this way). I used only half a block of Cabot's Monterey Jack cheese, added some salsa instead of canned chilis and instead of using cream, I stirred a bit of lite sour cream into the sauce before layering it. Much lighter than the original version but still very good.

Oh, never heard of "hunky" as being referred to as something ethnic, pro or con. Don't know where that notion came from. So and so was called a "hunk" back at college, and that meant the guy was hot, desirable. I'm sure language changes. But there is a certain extent to which I'm not going to worry about it.

A little bowl of split pea soup with some protein powder and a piece of Tuscan Salami and Roasted Veggie Artisan style pizza from Dominoes.

Cream of Mushroom Soup with a chopped,boiled egg, bacon bits and a few oyster crackers. It's a bit chilly here today and that soup is really good.

I wanna share Kath's! We are so swamped, I just grabbed some nuts and celery. I love my job and I adore my boss, but this is one of 'those' days!

My usual Boarshead Maple Glazed Chicken on Arnolds brand Whole Wheat Sandwich Thin.

But I have homemade chicken noodle soup in the crock pot.
DH is sick and I thought maybe soup would be good for him.
Thinking I will put some French Rolls in the oven and make an apple, strawberry, grapes, and banana fruit salad to go with it.
