A floor drain would be a wonderful thing, in case of flooding or other wet accidents.

The drip dry station can be as simple as a rod over the sink.

You're asking a lot of this space with the various storage needs: crafts, pantry, seasonal etc. I think you would be best off lining two walls with storage and one with your wet center stuff like laundry, sink and pet station, and having the center wide open so you could add a folding table, ironing board, etc. for counter space. It goes against the usual idea of cabinets with countertop above all around the room but it will give you more efficient storage.

If you're in a wet or cold climate you might want to consider giving this room a door to the outside for messy entrances. If that's the case, you'll want a bench for boot removal and somewhere to put dripping or snowy outerwear as well.

I am getting ready to build a new home and am excited about my new laundry room. I am adding a verical section of cabinets that will be "cubbies" to store three large rubbermaid laundry baskets. I always separate my dirty laundry into three groups and usually don't get all of my laundry done in one day (three teenage boys) so this will allow me to be able to keep everything off of the floor. My goal will be to be able to use those bins for clean sorted clothes instead of dirty but that will take come work.
We also opted to leave one wall free from cabinetry so that we could use my inexpensive rolling clothes rack for hanging clothes right out of the dryer, and for a small table for folding clothes... this was much less expensive.
