Guess the timing is when we applied.

I thought the timing had to do with when your birthdate is...for instance, my husband and I both get ours the same day - 4th Wednesday of the month -and our birthdays are only 5 days apart. My friend's birthday is the 14th of the months and she gets hers the second Wednesday of the month. In both cases, we actually get it direct deposited a day or so BEFORE Wednesday.

I also get mine on the 4th Wednesday of the month, my husband gets his on the 3rd of the month. It will be a while before I know how much more I will be getting.

My husband and I get ours on the fourth Wed. of each month. My birthday is in February and his is in May. I think it has to do when you sign up. We signed up at the same time.

If you signed up for SS benefits before May, 1997, your check arrives on the 3rd of the month. Otherwise, it depends on your date of birth. If your birthday falls bewteen the 1st and 10th of the month, it is paid on the second Wednesday of the month. Between the 11th and 20th, it is paid on the third Wednesday, and between the 21st and 31st, it is paid on the 4th Wednesday.

I'm just thankful I'm getting one, no matter what day of the month it is. As long as it keeps coming!

I am not sure when we signed up, but my birthday is on the 3rd of Feb. and his is on the 23rd of May and we get ours on the same day, the fourth Wed. of the month.
