I think I've read nearly all of them, and like them, even though there isn't the action that my mysteries have!! They are very easy reading, and also follow the minister as he goes on to a different locale.

Yes, written by Jan Karon, I read two of them. Nice small town in New England. Nothing much happens. Some people find them humorous. I didn't.

I enjoyed them & think there's a new one out... but I will say that it helps if you do read them in order - otherwise you do have a problem with identifying all of the lesser characters - who reappear in most all of the books.

They're supposed to be really good & easy reading according to my friend. I guess I could try the first one & see if they're worth reading the whole series. Thanks for your input.

I have bought as many of Jan Karon's books as I can lay my hands on, but haven't read one yet. I bought them for my mother, who at 81, finds lots of offensive (to her) things in most books. These are "clean", with no violence or blatant sex, which probably translates into boring for most of us. She loves Jan's books.

I've read all but the last one and enjoyed each one. Light, easy reading and I found them to be humerous.

I have read them all and enjoyed all of them. In fact, I think Jan Karon is one of the best authors I have ever read. It is best to read them in order so you will get to know the characters.

I've read them all but the last one and I find them delightful. I cried buckets in one of them (can't remember which). I think it's refreshing to know there are books out there you can give to an 81 y o. I think they are wonderful and can't imagine why anyone would not appreciate them.

Janette Oke writes in a similar style, if you like Jan Karon you might like Janette Oke as well...faith-based, no explicitness, well written. Here's a partial list of some of her works...
