You could scan them all into the computer and put them all in a file. Just remember to save them to a disc also, so you have a back up of them! Or take a picture of them and save them in the computer that way, again backing them up. I don't have that many, but I have been doing this with the ones we have from campgrounds and such that we want to go back to when we are on the road.

I got a little box, where I put them in alphabetically. I find, that sorting everything alphabetically works GREAT for me.

I do the same as Moni. There are boxes designed specifically for business cards. If you have too many for one box, get two boxes. They come with little ABC tabs. I don't keep cards I no longer need, so one box works for me.

I have a holder similar to that in the link. I got it free somewhere and thought I'd never use it, but it has really came in handy.

I have one like Lydia~~i keep my credit cards in it also~~when we vaca it fits easily into our safe. DH uses one also.

I would purge them down to ones I actually used, then staple them into my address book.

Depending on how many you need to organize you could check out the Rolodex line. They come in different sizes and price ranges.

Alphabetical is the simplest way but if you think you'll forget the name of the individual or the company's name then make a duplicate and file it under a Subject heading.

For example we had a chimney sweep at the house and I probably won't remember his name in 2 years when we need them cleaned again so I made a duplicate and filed one under his name and the other under C for chimney sweep

You may find out you have duplicates as some businesses make new ones or new designs. I file mine alphabetical in a box my Dad years ago. Staples has some good ones. Get a catalog from a stationary store to see what is avaiable. I don't like the wallet type, does not hold enought for me and hard to put in those plastic inserts. Check in the kitchen dept and look for those Rubbermaid holders that hold items for the kitchen or wherever.

One can load it with cards that are back-to-back, so that another is visible on the back of each page.

Mix, juggle and match - even alphabetize - to your heart's content!

I type them into my computer's email address book and then I toss the cards. Back it up on a flash drive as well.

I have a few of the card holders similar to the link Lidia had and a coule of smaller versions but for the most part I put them into Ajour address book and I can search for a name or comment or even part of the phone number if needed. Plus it'll dial the number too.

But I have to ask, is this a collection/hobby or is there a need for all these cards? If you have to keep the cards, some sort of Rolodex is probably most practical if you're going to keep adding to them. And alpha filing is most practical for most things but that'll be thrown off unless you have lots of pages. And then if you have to use multiple cards to file in multiple places, for instance, one law firm but multiple attorneys names, then you go quickly from a gazillion to about a gazillion and a half!

Think about how you use them and that might help decide how to organize them or whether to even continue with the cards.
