Will kitchen will be too plain? But don't want to go overboard

My small (10x12) kitchen in my old-fashioned 1930's center-hall colonial will be completely fitted with cabinets. I'm using creamy cabs, old pine floor, and soapstone counters. I decided, to keep things simple, to have no backsplash except maybe a piece of soapstone above the sink area (below a window). There will be no room to hang anything decorative, I'll have to keep my kit-kat clock above a doorway. I'm looking at blue-green paint ?? colors (BM Homestead Green or Kensington Green??)

Now, I find myself drawn to more decorative hardware and lighting. Does this one look like it belongs in a foyer? I had picked out a flush-mount schoolhouse fixture but then I saw a inexpensive antique light somewhat like this one (but has some glass in the mount section, and hangs down lower) Too much bling for a small, simple kitchen??:

Ceiling is only 8-feet and the light I'm looking at hangs down 17 inches.

Pulls for 15-24 inch wide slab drawers (cabinets will have knobs).

I've asked about this before, but am so undecided. Would appreciate all opinions

Thanks
