I went in to the beauty shop once about the time Maddie was born and said I wanted a frosted look. HOLY toledo I was completely blodne when I left, no brown whatsoever and I got so many smart aleck comments! I did not look natural!

I'm sure its just a shock for you Stacy cause you are used to seeing Syd blonde. It'll grow on you , I promise!

I think it makes her look a little more mature maybe? I like it. She's such a pretty girl anyhow that she would look gorgeous even with green or purple hair! lol

For a while last fall, your Sydney kept popping up in my Yahoo mail! I had looked at her pictures when you posted them, of course, but have no idea why they kept showing up. I didn't mind, though, as she is such a pretty girl!! Hasn't happened now for a while, so guess the glitch has stopped.

Sydney's hair looks great. My DD was blonde until sometime in HS. Now her hair is very dark brown. I'm still not used to the dark hair and she is 30!!

Stacy, after reading the title and before I opened the thread I had already decided I *would not* like Sydney with dark hair, it usually makes a young girl look harsh ... WRONG! I love it! She's gorgeous (as are all your kids!)

I think it looks great. Those streaks in it are nice. Really dark hair is too harsh, but I think this is very attractive.

She looks good both ways. She has pretty hair. I can't tell from the pictures how she's doing with the braces. She's going to feel so good with straight teeth, that's what I keep telling my girls when they want their braces off. Seems their braces have been on forever.

The teenagers around here have been tinting their hair dark for a few years. It was almost black and didn't look natural/normal at all. Recently I've noticed they are looking more like Sydney which is a vast improvement. I hope it sticks!

I think it looks great. In the summer, the sun will lighten even more and the blond highlights will come shining through and look so natural.

I'm with Jodi-I decided before opening the post that I wouldn't like it because I know already she is a pretty blonde. Well I opened the thread and she looks great!! I think you're just in shock. If I didn't like it I would scroll on by.

My GD did the same thing two years ago and now she is back to her blonde. Don't worry she's beautiful and has to experiment!!

Darling girl...she'll look good in just about any color. She may even experiment with red before she goes back to natural. She's so cute, she could even pull off pink or green...not a recommendation...just an observation.

Yes- I like the dark better, especially for the season. It looks beautiful with her light eyes, if she doesn't go too dark, that is. Gorgeous, Syd!

Wow alot of posts thanks everyone...yes it is growing on me...I guess since I have always had dark hair and always wanted to be blonde it kills me when a natural blonde goes dark...LOL @ Jodi and Lisa......I am not sure about the blonde roots they will for sure show.....her hair has alot of red in it anyways and she may do that to hounds....LOL kids....Stacy (who had orange hair from sun in as a high schooler)

She looks great either way. I was blonde once and I got lots of complements, but it just didn't feel natural.

She's absolutely gorgeous and very photogenic. I like the darker hair a lot, and the highlights are great. I do I like her hair as a blond better, though. But heck - she can change it back if and when she wants. For now, for the winter, dark is good.
