It's been one of those days . . . forgive my middle-school-ish behavior. I swear the young male clerk blushed as he rang this horseradish root up for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you . . . that it had a sticker with a UPC code on it so he didn't have to ask me what it was ~ or see this buying guide:

"The large, white, tapered root of horseradish is covered with a somewhat hairy brown peel. Avoid any wilted, desiccated, or soft specimens."

Part of the problem of your recent question, Martinca, is that you are showing a me a tiny piece of the puzzle and expecting me to offer something that makes sense when the whole picture is viewed. No one designs like that. One must see the whole picture -- the whole lawn -- and some space around it. You might need to stand on a step ladder to take such a picture. (Possibly from across the pool using a zoom setting.) What I think you're asking now -- about how to round out the interior of the 90 corner of paving -- I'm not sure its essential. Sometimes people are bothered by things that really aren't the problem while it is something else that is causing the difficulty. Let's see the whole applicable space. However, the suggestion I offered above nearly shows the whole lawn and how I would consider shaping it, but the bottom is cut off of the photo. Still, if you think in terms of the space being more or less symmetrical, I think you could envision the whole space.

Yes, definitely try out a bunch of color boards before deciding -- colors are so tricky and can look so different in context as opposed to on the computer screen. Whatever you choose, you will certainly wind up with a gorgeous workspace. I do recommend getting your chosen color made up in Benjamin Moore's Aura paint (they can match any other brand's color exactly) - it goes on so beautifully and is very washable. I'm loving mine in my kitchen, which by the way is an antique yellow that took about 8 tries to get right -- so don't be feeling bad about one little blue goof!! :)

Add me to the It Looks Like Shingles to Me list. Get him to a Dr. asap. just to be on the safe side. They can start him on meds. to minimize the time frame. The pain can be HORRIFIC especially if untreated & can cause lasting pain/nerve damage & potentially serious complications especially if the eyes are involved. Shingles are very common in immune suppressed people. Also, I *think* they might be contaigious to those who've never had chicken pox.

Oh Lordy

I have a picture of a white stuffed plush bear, two oranges and that same shape of a horseradish root posed in the anatomically correct configuration. I took it a few years ago at Passover time. You all are lucky I don't know how to scan it or I'd be in trouble.
