scroll bar missing when ads come up, please help.

On some ads that come up on right hand side the scroll bar will disappear and I will not be able to scroll down or up. The only way to remedy this is to get out of kt then come back in, but not to that particular thread that has that advertisement. I think the one that I had trouble this morning with was some electric toothbrush advertisement. If any of you can help me I would appreciate it. Thank you. (This is the only website that I am having trouble with)

Try clicking on refresh. Works for me. On my computer, it can be found under "View".

Charliedawg! Alright, some fun stuff! I agree with your first thoughts that it needs a little something. I think corbels would be a good addition. I also really like pendent lights, they won't block your view. Our's don't. I agree that raised panel in that spot is likely a waste. I also agree that the kitchen won't really come to "life" until you add all your personal stuff. Here's a shot of our kitchen which includes corbels and pendents. Just like our properties, our kitchens are similar. Glad things are back on track. You can't stop writing after you move in. We want to hear all about life in the house. oldhousegal, I commend you. I'd love to be living that way - as they say "every journey begins with a single step". I found a website created by a grad student from Singapore who is studying "food perceptions" of all things. This entire website is dedicated to unraveling the "great pine nut mystery" (don't you love the internet!). Here is a picture of pine nuts. "S" is apparently what you want. "A" is what you don't want. Similar in size.. posting another pic below which is a close up of "A". close up on PNS (pine nut syndrome) inducing pine nut Funny... Target house brand of pine nuts has only had one reported case of PNS but Trader Joe's has had 69 cases.... maybe I'm not ready to give up on Target yet (maybe I am still being naive to believe everything I read on the internet.... looks pretty credible to me though - will link the website below). DH came through the wire removal with flying colors :-) He's in quite a bit of pain but has good meds and is now taking a well-deserved nap. Surgeon said about 2 weeks for the incision to heal, then he will remove stitches. Thank you all, once again, for your prayers and good wishes. Still no word on the real estate problem. Our agent cannot reach the no-show agent or her office.........

Mark, thank you, I hope....after going to the site you wrote about, I think I have opt outed of 96 companies that were advertising. 96! Hopefully this will continue to work...I did have to allow third party cookies, hope this doesn't open a new can of worms???? Thanks, I do not miss the killer rapper guy. Edited to say....NEVERMIND!!!! I'm still getting the ads. After checking out 3 threads and seeing zero ads, they were back on the fourth. It happens to me 2 to 3 times per week and I just click refresh. Not sure what the issue is, but it only happens on this site.

Once again, nothing of that sort happens to me, but then I use Firefox with AdBlock.

It has been happening to me the last few months. Hit refresh, which on my computer is next to the address window on top of the screen, and it is the double arrows, one pointing up and the other pointing down.

Thanks everyone...refresh worked. I had to wait until that annoying ad came up so it took me awhile to get back to you. :-)

there's a lot of that carp going on here anymore..

I wish they'd at least comunicate with us to let us know if they are attempting to fix it or if we are stuck with it.

I have not had any of those problems I use firefox with adblock plus and the easylist filter, simple easy and no ads anywhere

Yah. There is something wrong with the web pages lately. I've have lost the right side scroll bar too, and not always with ads. I've had to excuse the page and reload it sometimes more than oce to correct the problem. I'd see the bar and then it would suddently disappear. I think it was a bad web page design.

Here's a tip that helps protect you from getting hung up from a bad web page. When you wish to read a post, do it in a new window. Instead of left clicking on the post, right click and a drop down menu appears; Choose "open in new window".

Once you have finished with the current window, close it by clicking in the "X" box or by right clicking on its icon in the tray and choosing "close". After you toss the current, temporary window away, the older window will show.

Using this technique will allow you to toss away a bad page and return to where you were without having to restart the "That Home Site" page again.
