My car:

The bottom few inches or so is pure ice. No way I'm digging that out for a while. And we have another storm on the way.

As Charlie Brown would say, Good Grief! I'm in Long Island NY and it rained this morning (again). We haven't had any snow since before Christmas. And I hope it stays this way! It's 45 degrees today!

Yikes! Where are you Angelaid, the Klondike? :) Seriously, it's beautiful but I know what it's like to deal with a heavy snow like that. And the ice, OMG, that's so treacherous.

I would call it to their attention ASAP. The thinset takes time to fully set, and they can replace these tiles without too much effort if they do it quickly.

i've heard about breaking a rib before but the diaphram??wow...hope you're resting and healing... stella my mother was told to be very careful with muscle spasms in her back as they could do the same thing... my fil was taken to er and they found he has copd, among other things..he just got back home yesterday (2 day stay)...he's mad they put him on advair, at $65! told him if he uses it correctly along with his oxygen, and other meds he might get benefits of NOT going back to er!

Ouch. A stiff gel/paste mix with a Ph neutral cleaner and poultice + baking soda may help lift, you may also want to cover the paste in saran wrap while it sets for 48 hrs...after which I would be utilizing an extractor to suck out the stain rather than wet liquids to carry it further down into the stone. Knowing that you have a laticrete waterproofing and mesh underneath id leave tearing out the tile as a last resort as it may compromise the waterproofing opening a bigger issue. If you find the stain to be very topical and not so deep set you may also ask youre installer about polishing down the pan with successive diamond grits/poulstice to remove the top most layer -,(******** not for the rookie polisher) - best of luck

No microwave, either! Congratulations on your flip!!! It used to be that the refrigerator left the house with the previous owner when moving, so I was quite surprised when we moved this last time. We had planned to use the fridge in our pantry until our realtor said the fridge stays with the house. 🤔 Anyway, we left our very nice fridge. Heard from the new owners that it died promptly 2 months after we moved out. Oooops! Glad that we did not go through the trouble of storing it for the new house.

Makes me cold just looking at it. Predications say we'll get 2-4" tomorrow, but it'll be back above freezing over the weekend. Weather!

I'm curious, tho. Why would your car possibly be towed or ticketed......no one controls the weather and tow trucks are surely busy helping people that are stuck. Just wondering.

I too wondered about the car and towing? Our city says it has to be moved once in 24hours or you get a tag on the window that says it will be towed. It looks like your city plows all the snow away. Here they just go around the car and thats why they want it moved so it doesn't leave that big pile of snow out to the middle of the street.
How far do you have to walk to work Angela? Walkings gotta be tough too. No way I'd be shopping and walking here.

In the northeast if your car is left on the street during a storm they will tow it. Vehicles left in the street impede the snow plow trucks.

Here they only tow if you live on an emergency route. The streets are well posted with tow signs on those streets. On other streets you can leave your car parked no matter what the weather.

I want SNOW!

We haven't had even one decent snow this winter yet, and I can't remember having one last year either. I miss it so.

Oh how I well remember those days in Illinois & Wisconsin. Take care & hope the car doesn't get towed to add to your other problems.

I'm in North Idaho.
They ask you to move your car for the plows, but it was too late for me. I'd need an ice pick to chip away the ice (tires are frozen to the ground) and then I probably still wouldn't get out. This is a pretty small downtown area and I live in a retirement building. They understand that some of us "old ladies" have no way of un-burying ourselves under these circumstances and wouldn't create *anymore* undue hardship. They'll tow an abandoned vehicle, but they pretty much know which vehicles were on the road before the storms hit and those that had already been sitting for too long.
My office is only a block away and the grocery about two blocks away.

Our's would be towed overnight,no questions asked in our town.
We have had a few storms that have left this much snow,but the storms are always followed by a mild spell,so right now we don't have a speck of snow to be seen.
Yesterday it was warm enough to go for a walk wearing just a sweatshirt,but that can chance overnight here where we live.

ours went all away, but now friday is suppose to be 6-10" of snow...we'll see...detroit usually is missed...

We got about 8 more inches last night and it's still coming down. This is just crazy!
