Thank you for all the good wishes for my birthday. It is really special to check in here and see that you cared enough to take the time to tell me happy birthday. I celebrated my birthday last night. The kids came home and took us out to a nice restaurant for dinner. It was nice to have them all home together again. I got lots of phone calls from freinds and relatives across the country today. It's nice to be remembered. The day has been nice, quiet and uneventful. I actually got to watch the ducks playing and diving in the lake. It may not seem like a big deal nor a fitting way to celebrate one's special day but believe me I embrace a day such as this with joy. Again, my heartfelt thanks for the birthday wishes.

I need communications lessons, y'all. Everything I say raises an eyebrow lately. Rephrasing what I said: Be aware that many of us put down fictitious birthdays. The list is probably pretty long at the beginning of the year, LOL I did not put down my correct birthday when the screen to join wouldn't let me be a member unless it had 'my birthday.' I used the first hit in each menu, ending up with Jan 2. That is not my real birthday. I've read others saying they didn't use their birthday, either. That means that many 'birthdays' may be listed at the first of the year if all of us with fictitious birthdays did not scroll down for a more imaginative date. I did not mean to imply that Glenda and Annette or anybody else were not celebrating their real birthdays, just myself and some others who stated some years ago that they used another date. Nell

Happy Birthday! (Birthdays?)

Do people tend to forget your early January birthdays? I have a friend, born Jan. 2, who says even her sibs forget! (And *I* am apt to only remember it mid-week myself.)

my son 39 was first baby in Hanover -pa in 1-1-71 was 10lb 12 oz..Picture was in newspapers got gifts galore.

I hope that you have been having a great birthday, you folks who celebrate yours on Jan. 1.

It seems to me that when I visit profile pages, a much higher percentage than average claim birthdate as Jan. 1.

If someone does not specify a birthdate of their choice, does it show as Jan. 1?

I rather suspect as much.

I thought of that Joyful, but I think you have to put in a birthdate because I believe I've went to profile pages of some KTers and no birthday is listed. I do agree though that if people would just choose a date, they might choose 1/1?

I believe Jannaz is Pattico's cousin.. maybe Patti will pop in and let us know? At least we would know if one of the birthdays is correct. :-)

If I remember correctly, when iVillage took over they asked for a birthDATE which would include the year. A lot of peeps objected to having the year included, so didn't list any date. A blank space there showed up as January 1.

Foolish in my opinion.
