More prayers needed for DGD Bailey

Seems that the infection is worse than originally thought. She now has bacteria in her blood... this brings back too many memories of the meningitis. So far she is home and responding to the antibiotics, BUT if she starts to spike a fever at all they are to get her to the hospital immediatly. Obviously we worry that it will turn septic. Any and all prayers will be appreciated.

Oh, shoot, Vickey! I was hoping that she was getting better. Sure got the prayers going Bailey's way.

Thank You for your prayers. Bob is really suffering, his abdomen fills up with fluid causing excruiating pain, they took 10 liters out the first time than 4 days later they had to take out 4 liters. He may have more tumors in his abdomen which may be causing this. He has not started the chemo yet because they thought he had an infection so they put him in hospital again and gave him heavy antibiotics the same kind they gave me it is called vancomycin. He sees the doctor on Tuesday and maybe he will start chemo this week. I am asking all of my Garden Junk Prayer Warriors for prayer for Bob, my grandson Robbie and granddaughter Monique. My youngest DD went through a similar situation about the same time ago. She ended up with a antibiotic resistant infection and sepsis, most likely unrelated to her procedure and spent weeks in the hospital. My best thoughts and prayers for your Ashlee.

Steve, If not for my cheerful nature, sense of humor, and sunny disposition, I would go insane. I'm pretty sure I've tried everything. IMPORTANT NOTE: He doesn't "EXPECT ME" to clean up after him. He would be perfectly happy living in a disaster zone where dishes are never done, counters are always sticky, towels are on the floor & bathrooms are never cleaned, beds are never made (blankets & pillows thrown on the floor), coats, shoes, & dirty clothes are left wherever you take them off, and nobody knows what the real color of the kitchen floor might be. Both his sisters live like that. From his point of view, he thinks I'm "fussy" because I think dishes should be washed the same day, I prefer towels HANGING UP to dry, and I think I should be able to walk through the house in the dark without tripping over shoes in the walking areas. According to him, "nobody" makes their bed in the morning or wipes off stove tops when they spill grease or sweeps & washes floors or vacuums more than once a month or every other month. We obviously did NOT live together before we were married! LOL

I just said a little prayer for you, but what you need is to make a decision and stick to it. If your DGD can come up with the money, great. But if not, put the house on the market and hope for the best! It's really hard to find a seller after you've found another house to buy. Or at least it seems that way because we get so anxious. I wish you tons of good thoughts and hope you get you new home.

Bailey has my heartfelt prayers, too. There is definitely cause for concern in her situation. I hope her infection will clear up and not become septic. I'm praying hard!

she's in my thoughts :-) i went thru that w/ a staph infection that started in my neck and jaws from a dental cleaning in 2005. i too was sent home, hospital did not want another patient w/ staph in there especially since my dh could take family leave and care for me, took 6 weeks. i hope she keeps a fever at bay, she's probably going to be more comfortable and get tons of special food and more care time, being a home. i will be thinking of her! ~ liz
