Got a good deal!

I painted our computer room and didn't replace a thing back on the walls. Still looking for 2 wall lights, the old ones are in a box in the garage! LOL I have been wanting to do a family picture wall. I have tons and tons of pictures boxed away!

DD and the boys gave me a set of black picture frames like this for Christmas.

Yesterday she emailed me about a BOGO free sale at Kohls. I ordered 2 more sets of the frames! LOL Think I will have enough? I doubt I will use 30 frames on the wall, (it is a big wall though) but heck 20 assorted frames for $40 I think I got a good deal!They can be hung on the wall or will stand too, so I am set for frames for pictures for awhile!

I don't know why the link shows silver metal, mine are black wood.

I wonder if we went to the same Lowe's, I pardoned 6 of the red salvia from plant death row and they're lovely! They were in very good condition. I haven't picked up potting soil or mix yet- I had my car and I need the truck for that. :) This coming weekend is the same sale as last weekend according to the ad.

Hey Bev, I was in Lowe's yesterday and didn't see any clematis at all! I was buying mulch, mulch, mulch. The last deal I got that I am proud of :) was after Easter, I went to Walmart looking for those plastic Easter baskets that are kind of like one gallon buckets with handles (and cute bunnies printed on the sides). They had tons of them for .24 each. I bought a bunch and used some of them to pot things in for the FW plant swap. They worked out great, just poked holes in the bottom for drainage. Holy Cow!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't use the Lighthouse system, but I did a quick search and found a Delux Lighthouse kit including: Oval Cutter with circle/oval/square cams included, glass cutting board, templates and blades for $86.00!!!!! (American) I think you got a terrific deal!! Even if yours doesn't include all these things, I am sure that what you got was much cheaper than the full retail. Good For You!!! ~Mar~

I wish I could help you, but they are being made locally. I am in New Brunswick (Canada), so its probably not local to you. The cab maker told me he has had a hard year for business (likely due to the economy) so I think he might be giving me a break to get some work. I have heard some really good things about his work. He has been doing this for 25 years so I feel good about him!

I ordered 2 large clocks a few days ago at Kohls (the same buy one - get one free sale), had a coupon code for 20% off and free shipping... just hope the clocks look good in the spots I've picked for them. If not, I can always take them back for a return at the local store.

My computer room is where I hang all my extra pictures. I have 17 in here now and a couple hanging plates. Once I replace one piece of furniture I'll be able to hang a few more. Starting to feel like one of those restauarants where the walls are just full of stuff! lol

Your frames will look great... a good deal too!

Oh yeah Lyd you reminded me! (told ya I lost my marbles long ago) I got $10% off also. Saved like $4, so take that off my $6.95 shipping and I feel good!

Hope you like the clocks! We bought one at Kohl's last Feb that is HUGE and we really like it!

Connie, those are great! I bet it will look terrific! Have you tried those command strips for hanging things? I use them at the office all the time for posters and so forth, even used them for the lights and decorations this year, they work great!! Here's a link to coupons for them, but take a look at the picture strips, I love them.

I've used the Command hooks before but didn't know about picture strips! I've printed the coupon and will be buying these! It just kills me to pound nails in freshly painted (and nail holes filled) walls!
