Delightful Movie Review

Last night I watched the DVD "Star Dust". It is a fantasy fairy tale much in the vein of The Princess Bride. It was released in 2007 but I had never heard of it before. I have to say, I loved it! Perfect for kids and adults. The sets were impressive. The outdoor locations were spectacular (filmed in England, Scotland, and Iceland), and the acting was great. I highly recommend this to anyone who is in the mood for a light, feel-good movie.

Along the way, he battles a pirate named Captain Shakespeare (Robert De Niro), an evil witch (Michelle Pfeiffer) and other assorted goblins and ghosts. Thanks for the review. I heard it was good when it came out, now I'll definitely put it on my "to see" list. Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite writers!

I love a warm fuzzy.

I saw one on Hallmark channel, The Good Witch. It was sappy and predictable and I enjoyed it. Catherine Bell from Army Wives was beautiful.

I want to see this movie but not till the kids comes home. Alex and I were going to meet yesterday and watch a movie. We chose Silver Linings Playbook but he fell asleep and stood me up. I drove all the way to Lexington and he didn't show up. He's been having sleep issues lately so I figured that's what happened...anyway, way before that I told him I wasn't watching anything scary because I had to come home to an empty house. I love scary movies but they freak me out. The movie I was going to see yesterday is now playing at the theater near here so I may go see it this afternoon by myself.

Ghost Town is a keeper! I told my husband I want to buy that one. And yeah, Lydia my husband even said he thought they were about to start preaching any second now. That's not the bad part though. The acting and script were horrible. And it seemed more like a public service announcement with a bunch of really cheesey lines.

I think Gran Torino got bad reviews also, but I loved it. What was funny/strange, though, was the fact that after the movie was over, no one moved...everyone stayed seated while Clint Eastwood sang that song...and he's no singer. I know someone else who went at another time, and he is the one who brought up the fact that no one made a move to leave after the movie was over...usually people get up and try to be the first ones out the door :o)

I really liked The Good Witch too. I thought it was so cute. Catherine Bell is so cute.
