Thought I'd start this. Laurel, hope you're feeling okay!

This is so good. It's an old recipe I got from a friend's mother. It's yummy. And Superbowl Sunday will be here soon, ya' know.

Hot Clam Dip (from Lil)

2- 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened

3 - 6-1/2 oz. can clams

2 Tbsp. grated onion

2 Tbsp. beer

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

2 tsp. lemon juice

1 tsp. hot sauce

1/2 tsp. salt

1 loaf round bread (we like pumpernickel)

Mix all ingredients together. Cut top off bread. Scoop out the bread from inside and fill with clam dip. Wrap in foil and bake at 250 (yes, 250) for 3 hours. Cut remaining bread into pieces. Serve with dip. Can also serve with raw vegetables.
