ARRRGGG!

I just got off the phone with a major hotel chain about a travel promotion for guests who stayed multiple nights.

I spent 35 minutes straight just talking, (not counting being on hold 4 times) trying to get one tiny thing resolved. They finally wore me down. They read the terms over and over to me until they realized that they supported my point. They couldn't argue with the terms, so they offered two solutions that were, "positively the best they can do."

Solution A was a weak half measure.

Then there was solution B, which was worse than A *and* worse than no solution at all. I chose A.

Half an hour, representatives in two countries, and on-hold music which was a classical piece I didn't recognize because it had a horn blasting in my ear (which is now ringing) make me wonder what Dante would think.
