At least the pattern for winter this year seems to be snow on the weekends... that is what has happened thus far.

So football sunday and snow falling ...love it.

Tomorrow when I have to go clean off the car and shovel , I will not be happy.

So what is it doing in your part of the country?

-9Â°C in Ontario Canada and snowing. We've had about 4" since yesterday. It is very pretty outside now. I hate to take the lights down :(

9 above right now in my part of Ohio. Blue skies/sun shining, a really pretty sight, but I don't like COLD!!

Weather report for today: Sunday: Mostly cloudy, blustery and very cold, snow showers, high 18.

Welcome to the forum canuckeh! I am one of those GJers who loves the plate flowers. There are a number of posts about them and several ways to make them. If you type in glass plate flowers in the search bar at the bottom of the page, you'll get lots of posts. You can either drill the plates or glue them together with GE Silicone II for glass. I do make mine indoors and haven't been bothered by odor from the silicone. Give the search a try and if you don't find what you're looking for, I'll try and post some more instructions--or at least the way I do them!

Yes, I've seen the news about the icy midwest. My heart really goes out to those folks without power to even keep warm. Fortunately, it has all been rain in my part of the "eastern midwest". According to the weather channel we have had 7 to 8 inches of rain in the past week, with more on the way for the next few days. I normally hate dreary weather like this but in light of the drought last summer I am grateful for every bit of it. We had an incredible ice storm last winter. It took my husband 4 hours to drive home from his office which is around 15 miles away. Traffic was so bad he had to stop at a gas station to pee! Frou..what a lovely - lovely table. That milkglass centerpiece it's just so pretty. Your snowflake tablecloth is just perfect with your place settings (so striking)..and I love the added snowflake for each. I think the glassware and their color is just beautiful too. What a clever way to 'swirl' the snowball/pom-pom garland around the table...it's such a lovely touch. We got tons of snow here the other day and more is on it's way... Shall I fill up the bus? jane

It is a chilly 41 degrees here in Houston, Texas right now! Our high is projected to be 53 degrees. It's been in the 50's for a week now, and that is unseasonably cool for us. Lots of clouds, too...we're missing the sunshine!

You know I love snow, but it isn't snowing. We have snow on the ground and it is still only about 8 above here in central Indiana.
