Well, I washed my hair, and I'm planning my next move. I think I'll get on the treadmill for a bit. Tonight we are going to dinner with friends.

Besides trying to keep warm, nothing much. May go to the store when it warms up to 26 or so, it was below zero this morning here in WV. Have to cook today, and maybe bake something for the guys, do a wash or two.

Just stopped by to see what was new this morning.

I came across a recipe for making Kitty treats. I made a batch (it makes a lot of them!) but so far 2 of my 3 cats aren't impressed. One played with them instead of eating them. The 3rd one hasn't showed up to investigate them yet. Hmmmph.

Now I'm going to chop up a bunch of scraps for the worms. Gee, pretty exciting day so far! lol

Yesterday I came across a deal in the meat section. People were crowded around a cooler with Prime Rib roasts in all marked 50% off. They looked gorgeous and people were buying numerous packages. I got a 2-rib roast for DH and I for $5.25. So now I'm going to see how to best roast it. (He likes his beef cooked through, and I want mine med-rare).

What I want to do is stay home and work. It is warming up and I need to be outside. (Just came in to eat a bite.) What I need to do is go run some errands, but once I leave home, the whole day is shot because I live so far out in the country.

Doing laundry this morning, and still putting the teapots back on the shelves after their Christmas hiatus. Our church is having a lutefisk supper tonight, and I am helping to serve. There are also wonderful meatballs (we made hundreds of them this week), so I can eat regardless of the lutefisk. We do have a crowd for the latter, though.

We'll be on our way to West Palm Beach FL this afternoon for 4 days of visiting and relaxing (yeah, right LOL) with our cousins. It's been below zero this week so the respite is welcome. Even if it's only 65 degrees there, it's still 70 degrees warmer than where we are!

Meeting friend and her DH for bbq, then off to Lowe's to get blinds for my deck, which her DH is going to hang for me.

We are going to see the Monster Trucks!

I've never been before, so I'm excited and ready to have some fun. We are taking 2 dgks with us.

Staying in and trying to stay warm. Keeping watch on my eldest cat that is going to die any minute...the medication from our vet is just not working. Vet thought she could be saved. I should have followed my instincts and just had her put down. Talked with our precious daughter. Don't know yet what else the day will hold.

oh Linda. I'm so sorry about your cat. That his a horrible situation to be in. Please give your kitty the longest hug for me...

I am doing laundry and waiting for my DD to get home for the long weekend from college. We'll go out for dinner tonight, maybe run some errands.

Thanks ladies. Mindy, the cat, is 17 years old, will be 18 this year, has arthritis and has been getting thinner. She got an upper respiratory infection and the antibiotic is doing nothing. She is not eating or drinking. I've been giving her water via medicine dropper. She is pretty well gone now...it's just a matter of time, God's time, until she is called to the Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry Linda. She will be pain free soon.

I need to do the laundry, including washing and ironing some clothes I bought for DGS at a nice consignment shop. Also want to finish knitting some bibs for him to keep here when he visits. Still building up my Granny supplies.

If I have time, I will start a "football helmet" and sweater and booties in the Denver Bronco colors for our daughter's wonderful ex roommate who is expecting a little boy and loves the Broncos. What a gem of a roommate she was!

DS#1 has a hockey game about 40 minutes drive away. Near there is an electronics/computer superstore DH wants to go to. Does anyone know Fry's Electronics? We call it the "Geek Superstore." DH is in IT (a professional geek), it's his favorite place to go. He needs one thing, but Anyone wanna place bets on how many things he actually comes out with? At least I'll be there to tell him no. ;o) I'm sure we'll have to drag him out pouting like a child. So we're heading out soon to go both places.

Did some cleaning. Watched a couple of movies. Oldest step-daughter is cooking a beef tenderloin and invited us for an early dinner. And, we're going to top it off with a Michigan Tech men's hockey game. What a busy day!

DH and I visited 2 elderly gentlemen in the nursing home. The 79 y o has Alzheimer's and doesn't know if it's day or night. The other is 98 and loves our visits and we laugh with him and talk about old times when he was friends w/ my Daddy. It's certainly sobering to walk around a nursing home. It makes me wonder why we think we can complain about a thing.

Got up early, early, so early had to take a nap already. :)

Watched a couple of movies and haven't felt like doing a darn thing I really need to do.

Wish I could buy a box of energy or drive, or something.

Well, it's 3:30 PM. I picked up my Mom and we went to get groceries. Our Walmart doesn't have those biscuts.
I'm going up to Mom's in a hour and have some wine, crackers and cheese. Then I'll come home and watch a movie.

I worked, lousy morning, only two RNs team leading. One had called in sick but came later, making it a little better.

Well Eddie got me up early (6:15) to go potty and I tried til 6 :30 to convicne him it was saturday and we didn't need to get up....soooo I got up...LOL got ready to meet Syd at 10 to get her windows tinted got new brakes and rotors on my tahoe.....came home and B and I was going to Lowes and the neighbor called and he need B to help him pack up stuff at his dads house (he passed away a few weeks ago) So B went and did that so I sat at their house and polished their furniture and chatted with my friend til 3 and came home and have done nothing but try and organize my mil's bday next week...going to do the lowes thing tommorrow...Stacy

I bought myself a new soft olive green slipcover for my loveseat, and coordinating drapes for the sliding glass doors. Then we looked at it and decided the walls weren't the right colour.............soooooooooooo.............I went out and bought some primer and paint and THAT'S what we've been doing all day. Tomorrow we should finish and hopefully it will look wonderful!
