Do you use the Dictionary?

I use a feature whereby I can right click on any word on the screen & it comes up in the Oxford Am. Dictionary. It also has the option of Thesaurus, Wikipedia, and Apple Dictionary. Quicker even than using online Websters, etc.

I use it a lot online and really miss it when I am say, reading a book & come up to a word which I am not sure of its meaning or usage. I still have a hard copy dictionary from the 70's but haven't used it in years

Here is something new I learned today (reading here @ KT -thanks Joann2345). The word: complaisant.

From the dictionary:

Complacent is the more common word and means Âsmug and self-satisfiedÂ: : after four consecutive championships, the team became complacent. Complaisant, on the other hand, means Âwilling to pleaseÂ: the local people proved complaisant and cordial.
