Facebook Help- New Timeline

I need help. I am trying to set up my new timeline page on facebook and I can't seem to be able to "add my cover" correctly. (That's the main picture on the top).

When I click on the icon to add my cover picture, it just changes from white to blue and back again. I tried adding it when I am reviewing the tutorial, but I am only given the option of a few pictures (non of which I am in) and even when I choose one, it doesn't seem to "take" correctly... it still is asking for my picture and I had to totally delete the picture to get it off there.

I would think there should be an option of set picture to "cover" like there is for the profile pic, but I can't find anything like that.

I had my family look at it too and no one here can figure it out. I must be totally missing something. I read the directions/help section... but I am just not able to get at my pictures or am given an option to put a picture (or even download one) in the "cover" picture area. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you're seeing. The only thing I can think of is the picture you're trying to use is too small to be a cover picture. Do you know what size the picture is?

From Facebook's Help section: "Your cover image has to be at least 720 pixels wide."

Nope....I just looked again and there's no "join" button like there usually is.....I posted a question though on how to join. Are you the creator of the page?

Need some help with fertilizer timeline

I would apply the last fertilizer of the season when the top growth has stopped, but the grass is still green. I'm not sure when that is where you are, but I would guess it would be late November. I would also probably apply something other than the name brand winterizer. For one thing, the store brand or generic with the same NPK numbers is just as good as far as the grass is concerned. And the second thing is that although conventional wisdom is that a high Phosphorous (the middle number) percentage is needed for good root growth in a winterizer, recent research has shown that Nitrogen is actually the most important component in a late fall fertilization. Since top growth has stopped, but the grass is still green, it is still photosynthesizing, and all the energy is being stored in the roots. So my advice is to apply a pound of N per 1000 sq ft after the top growth has stopped. If you can get urea (something like 46-0-0) or ammonium sulfate (21-0-0), those are fine. The best thing you can give your grass for the final feeding is the nitrogen.

Basically that's what I did - first set up the account with Briarwoods Farm name as I said above, using farm email. Then changed the name to my maiden name but kept the farm email, didn't give my personal email. I found that even when it said I was posting, commenting and liking as Briarwoods Farm page rather than as Sheila, I really wasn't. In order for my "likes" to be shown on the farm page, I had to go to pulldown menu all the way to the top right of page and set it to "Use Facebook as" Briarwoods Farm. Spent the morning trying to figure out how to set up a site on Weebly. That's even harder. Plus the name was taken so I had to add "CT" to the end - but the www.briarwoodsfarm.weebly.com site is a placeholder, no content (not even contact) so I don't know if that was something I had experimented with a year or so ago (not realizing it was Published). Don't know email address (probably farm) or password I would have used though. Guess I can contact weebly to find out what the email address was to see if it's mine or someone else's. I think I'm going to ask my teenager to set up website for me - he's acted as webmaster for Scouts so hopefully he can figure out weebly and get a good page design. I just want a home page and a blog for now. But he doesn't do Facebook (I think he opened an account just to see track/cross-country schedule) so can't help with that.

I found this thread and the 2nd post in particular to be helpful in planning. HTH Flooring depends on type as to when it is suggested to be done. I opted to paint last b/c choosing a color will be easiest and I don't mind taping and making cuts. I do the painting myself so it's one less thing to manage and stress about. I'm also waiting on a backsplash b/c I've never had one and it will save money for now. I can take my time choosing when I am ready. Don't forget final inspections. That could be it.. but it's not even letting me choose a picture.

Do you know if have to set my pictures as "public" first or maybe something like that to be able to choose a picture? When you click " Add my cover" or "change my cover" what do you see or what options are you given? I get nothing.. my icon just changes colors from white to blue. I'm just not sure how it is supposed to be. I followed the directions for setting my cover picture, but when I click the icon -- I get nothing but an icon color change and can't insert or add a picture there.

The cover picture is automatically set as public.

From the Help section again. Note the "you may not have the option to choose certain photos" part.

"Since your cover goes across the entire width of your timeline, the image you select for your cover has to be at least 720 pixels wide. This means "you may not have the option to choose certain photos as your cover image," or you may get an error if you try uploading a photo that isnÃ¢ÂÂt big enough. If the photo you want to use is too small, try uploading the photo in high resolution, or choosing a different photo."

But I'm not given an option to download or choose any picture at all... and I have over 200 pictures on there from various people (and I know many would fit). I'm not even able to choose or given the option to download a picture.

I'm pretty sure it's not a size issue. When you click the icon...does it drop down and let you download or how are you able to get a picture on there? Thanks!

This is what I see when I click on the "Change Cover" icon...but I already have my Timeline set up, so what I see may be different than what you see, as you haven't set yours up yet.

Yeah, I'm not getting the drop down options under "change cover" --must be a snag or something. I kind of thought that's what it should be like, but wasn't sure. I'm going to let them know. Thanks again!
