Help! Liner for Water Heater Flue

Hi there -

Just had my chimney repaired and the liner for Water heater flue in completely shot!

Ok, so I have a couple of quotes from two chimney places and I'm not sure who to go with. I was wondering if someone out there familiar with this topic can way in and give me their opinion.

Here are my stats: 4 inches/35 or so feet for a liner.

One chimney service says they will install a stainless steel flex liner to reflect the stats above.

Another said they ordered a liner (Homesaver Ultra Pro)which was too big for one customer at 5inches and said they would drop the price if I take it because since mine is 4 inches it won't make too much difference anyway.

I'm totally confused!

Do I take the 5 inches and save 300/400 hundred dollars, or do I do it correctly with a 4 inch liner. Will it make a difference?
