Orchids

Crows, unpopular at most peoples feeders. We happen to love them. Intelligent and fun to watch their interactions with our less loved squirrels.

A large Lang horse that my son gave me for my birthday last year. It stands about 2-feet tall.

Impressive building, orchids, botanical gardens in Germany...

Here are three shots from the Mainau Botanical Gardens, in Constance Germany. It is on an island in a lake, just north of some mountains, that together give the place a micro-climate that allows plants to grow that normally only grow a couple of hundred miles further south. (or so the signs said)

Jasdip....doesn't your orchid have criss crossing lines? Referred to as "stained glass" by orchid officionados, Bob's has dots. Right?

Jasdip is that the same orchid you got free that I was helping you with? No matter that one is just beautiful.

Two of my orchid plants have just started going nuts one put on 3 large new branches with at least 7 or 8 buds on each. The other has put out an entirely new bloom stalk and has the mittens at the end of the old bloom stalk making new buds. I am so impressed with them LOL.

Garzania, I'm sure glad to read that you love crows. We do too. They are very intelligent, so regal looking, and they warn all the other birds when Mr. or Mrs. Hawk happens to be around. I've seen them chase the hawk. We have a crow that sounds like a duck, so we call it "Duck Duck". LOL We love our squirrels too. "Chewy" has made a chewed up mess of our fountain though. If I say, "There's Chewy" the dog comes running and barking to chase it away. Then there is Loco Junior. What a crazy squirrel. They are definitely our entertainment.
